Fashion Houston Five – Part Two

I honestly did not think that Fashion Houston’s Wednesday night show could be topped. But I was in for a real treat, because Friday, the big finale of the week long event, did not disappoint!
Designs were on
display from Rami Salamoun, Fabrice Tardier, Amir Taghi, Valentina Kova
and Houston’s very own David Peck.
And as promised, I’ve got more Fashion Houston Five goodies for you today!
As it was the start to the weekend, the prospect of being able to sleep in the next morning definitely perked things up. The vibe was much more like a big party mixed with a star-studded fashion show.
Those two things combined, make for a very great time. 🙂
And with my wing woman, Anna, by my side, we were ready for the night.

Pulling out my favorite party dresses twice this week, I was quite the happy camper.
Don’t get me wrong, I love living in my leggings and t-shirts after work, but when I get the excuse to get all dressed up, I will take it!
This black dress with the copper lace overlay is by one of my favorite designers, Yoana Baraschi. I have a small obsession with lace anything, basically. And with Yoana Baraschi’s twists on classic designs and funky lace patterns, I believe she can do no wrong.

Friday night there were plenty of familiar faces gracing the red carpet before the show started.
We caught up with a few friends and chatted away, all while soaking in every moment of the last night of Fashion Houston Five.

Before we knew it, the crowd had begun to make its way indoors and the lights were starting to dim.
It was time to let the show begin!

Not knowing too much about these designers beforehand, I let their runway shows do the talking.  I think Anna and I both agreed, that we instantly fell head over heels in love with Valentina Kova’s chic  & classic designs.
This orange dress below, was an absolute show stopper. (In my opinion!) I was kind of far away and I didn’t really get the best picture of it, but I think you get the general idea. 🙂
Maybe its the Tennessee Vol fan in me that is just automatically drawn to this bright orange color? The cut was simply gorgeous and I can only imagine tailgating in such a pretty piece.
Yep, you heard me right! We southern ladies like to get all dolled up for our football games!

I was also really excited to see David Peck’s designs.  This Houston designer’s pieces ranged from activewear, day dresses to fancy gowns.  It was all over the place, but variety is the spice of life, eh? I’m loving this dress in the picture above.  I could be wrong, but the scene on the front looks like a little camper nestled in the desert.  Totally random, but amazing at the same time.

Hope you all enjoyed the eye candy from this past week’s Fashion Houston Five.  I’m already counting down until next year’s Fashion Houston … Six!
It’s a short work week, which I’m sure you are all appreciating as much as I am.  Although, I still can’t believe Thanksgiving is THIS week! Do you have big plans for the holidays? Patrick and I are looking forward to visiting family and eating lots and lots of turkey!
As always, thank you for stopping by the blog!
