Today I’m talking about date night attire. As soon as this floral crop top arrived at my doorstep, I couldn’t wait to pair it with statement earrings, high-waisted skinnies and heels for a night out on the town with my main squeeze.

There’s something about going out of your way to get a bit more dressed up than usual for date nights that make the evenings that much more special.  I wore this floral number over the weekend to our favorite restaurant in Houston’s China Town, Tiger Den. If you’re feeling adventurous, I definitely recommend the place! Voted “Best Ramen in Houston,” you can sit by the grill and watch the incredible chefs do their thing, which we did … and I’m still pretty mesmerized by it all.

But let’s be honest, I really am just as happy spending an evening at home with my husband, eating takeout while wearing yoga pants, an oversized tee, and with my hair most likely in the messiest of topknots.  So it doesn’t really matter what you’re wearing, as long as you’re having fun and making time for one another.

Hope you all had a great weekend, and aren’t feeling the Monday blues as much as I am today. I attended Thrive Blog Conference this weekend, so expect a blog post (or two) on that later this week!

As always, thanks for stopping by the blog. Don’t forget to follow The Lone Star Looking Glass on FacebookInstagramTwitter, & Pinterest
