It’s Rodeo time in Texas!
On Wednesday night, we kicked off rodeo season by donning our cowboy boots and heading to the rodeo.  Hunter Hayes was the headliner of the evening and he was amazing! My husband and I saw him last year too, and since then I’ve spent an entire year belting out to Hunter Hayes’ tunes to and from work.  Needless to say, seeing him this go around … I was probably much more of a fan girl.
To get rodeo ready I wore this pretty chambray dress from Dana-Leigh Apparel. We had crazy warm weather Wednesday night so this lightweight open-back dress was perfect. Paired with my Cavender’s cowboy boots and a fringed purse, I fit right in with the southwestern style crowd.
Ya’ll know how much I love Cavender’s, well this family owned western retailer is celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year. With too many different styles of cowboy boots to even begin to count, Cavender’s has a pair that will suite anyone’s style. And let’s be honest, you can’t go to rodeo
without wearing a pair of boots!
If you live in the Houston area, do you plan on going to rodeo this year? We’re definitely planning on going at least two more times, but I’m crossing my fingers that we double that number! 😉
As always, thanks for stopping by the blog. Don’t forget to follow The Lone Star Looking Glass on FacebookInstagramTwitter, & Pinterest

  • Oh I love it. I went to the rodeo in San Antonio but didn't look nearly as cute. 🙂

  • Really cute! I don't think I've ever actually been to the rodeo. (And I live in Fort Worth!) Also, that scarf is fabulous 🙂

  • I'm loving the boots! My faves are brown, but I need to get some new black ones!

  • I'm going next week! I hope it warms up again 🙂

  • I just adore this outfit & rodeo season! The husband & I have a date night for Dierks that I'm pretty excited about. I have a few friends who volunteer & they can bring a +1 in for free for concerts, so I find myself there for random concerts through out the season. I can't wait to see what other cute outfits you put together for rodeo!

  • I love that scarf!

  • Love the boots too! I'm in NY and no one around here wears Cowboy boots, but I wish they would!

  • I need that purse. NEED.

  • This is so pretty! That scarf is gorgeous!

  • love the purse and boots

  • I absolutely adore that dress! Its definitely rodeo perfection!
