1960s Chic

Last week I attended the Manor launch party with Tidbits Front Row.  Manor is a precious new online shopping destination offering quirky home decor items, unique gifts, and gorgeous jewelry.

But on another note, if you live in Houston, and you love to get dressed up and go to fun & fancy parties, than a Tidbits Front Row membership is for you!

Through Front Row, we are able to find out what is going on all over town and get “front row” access to exclusive parties, fashion shows, restaurant openings and more.

You never know what’s coming up next!

When I saw the details of the Manor Launch party, I flipped! The invitation literally had “1960s Pool Party Chic” as the dress code! How fun is that!?

Walking into the venue, we were greeted with pink flamingos galore.

These giant inflatable ones are currently available at Manor. They are so massive in person, you could stretch out on one of these babies for a relaxing float at the pool or lake.

Speaking of lakes, we’re going to our family lake house for a week this summer and after this party (because I never knew they existed before!) I reallllllly don’t think I can go without a giant pink flamingo float, right?

After being a member of Houston Fashion Bloggers for a year now and attending several Front Row events, I feel like I’ve gotten to know a lot of people in this particular “crowd.” Attending these events has been so much fun because its also a great time to catch up with fellow bloggers and Houston fashionistas.

While eating drunken gummy bears, of course.

Nicole and Heather took the 1960s Chic theme to a whole new level. Obsessed!

Goodies from Manor were on display for purchase. You better believe that one day when I have a little baby, it will be well dressed in these leather moccasins
Baby clothes are so much fun these days! And those polka dot bibs? Adorable.  But you guys….it’s going to be a little while! Sorry Mom!
The Houston Zoo even came out to join in on the fun at the Manor launch.  I touched an Australian Armadillo.  And it wasn’t actually all that bad haha. Cute little thing actually.
The snake that made an appearance later that evening — I, however, did not go anywhere near.
The rest of the evening was spent sipping on glittery cocktails, eating donuts (you heard that right) and catching up with new and old friends.
Manor’s colorful launch party made for a wonderful evening out. I can’t tell you all how cute the home decor and giftable goodies are on Manor’s online boutique.
In need of a zebra stacking tray, a golden piggy bank or shiny and soft throw pillows? Well you now know where to go!
For my “1960s Chic” I wore a dress that was made in the 21st century. But shh! Don’t tell anyone! Betty Draper would totally have worn this to a poolside cocktail party, don’t ya think? The bright floral print and halter top seem 60s inspired while fitting right in to today’s modern style.  I vote for more 1960s parties in the future. I do always love a good theme party! 🙂
