Ever since I can remember, I’ve always been drawn to embroidered tops, embroidered purses, embroidered … everything. Maybe it’s the boho-southwestern vibe that most embroidered pieces give off that I love, not really sure – but it’s my “thing.”
Never once seeing a pair of embroidered heels, and then spotting this pair, I knew at once that they had to be added to my ever-growing shoe collection.
(I have a shoe hoarding problem & I’m not afraid to admit it.)
I’m planning on dressing up these pretties ANY & every chance that I get. 🙂
Speaking of dressed up – I dressed up my everyday denim for this post with these heels, a lace high-neck crop top, & the prettiest “going out” purse of all.
Henri Bendel can do no wrong you guys. I’ve been looking for a simple black clutch for ages that will hold everything I need, including my chunky camera, while still looking fancy.
This clutch does that, with two roomy compartments too! (And it features soft calf hair on the front & crocodile lining the back.) Surprisingly, crocodile scales are extremely soft, who would have thought?
Can’t leave y’all hanging without talking about this top. (only $34!) Does the high-neck lace remind anyone else of the fashions of Downton Abbey, Tuck Everlasting (loved that movie) or the addicting TV show, Mr. Selfridges?
Clearly, I love me some period films / English drama.
And I love that this top reminds me of that. 🙂
Of course, it’s very much the 21st-century version of one of those turn of the century dresses.
A posh late 19th-century woman would have just NEVER have been seen in a crop top. 😉
Okay .. one more picture of the shoes. Because they’re amazing.

This simple dressy-casual look is perfect for a date night or happy hour with the girls. While I’m still at the beach, my current date night look consists of flip flops, beachy hair & a flowy dress that doesn’t bother my sunburn. Because I am burrrrrnnneed!
We’re down here with family this week, but Patrick and I slipped away the other night for a romantic dinner date, just the two of us. We went to this a delicious restaurant in Rosemary Beach and then walked home via the beach. One of my favorite parts of our beach trips is going out on the beach at night to look at the stars. In Houston, on a good day, you get to see about three stars in the sky each night. Down here, they’re all bright as can be for us & I can’t get enough!
Can’t wait to share pics of our trip on the blog soon! I’ve probably taken way way way too many photos. 🙂
