Stylish in Smoking Flats

I’m currently blogging from our balcony overlooking the beach. You guys, I can get used to this!!
While the look I’m sharing today may not be the beachy-est of styles, I’m sure it would work much better for those of you who may not take their “summer” vacations in early fall.

topshop high neck tunic, topshop flippy tunich, topshop high neck dress
This high-neck black tunic dress has become my absolute favorite fall transitional piece. It’s so lightweight, perfect for the hot Houston weather, and it’ll be a great layering piece as soon as the temps start to drop.
red coach crossbody, coach cross body, red coach cross body with laquer rivets and pebble leather, julie vos lion bangle
I wore this outfit out & about running errands last week. Most of the time, when I’m on the go, I like to carry much bigger purses holding anything & everything I may need. I tend to save my smaller clutches & crossbody bags for evening activities.
Toting this red Coach crossbody has been a game changer! This light as a feather (and oh so chic) was hardly noticeable during a busy day of lugging groceries, taking the dogs to the vet & getting in & out of the car what seemed like 100+ times.
I might not have been able to fit everything but the kitchen sink in it, (which is what feels like goes into my bigger bags.) But I was able to stuff all the necessities that were needed for the day into this red crossbody, and nothing more. 🙂

One more thing that I’ve goooooota shout out about this outfit are these Hutton Smoking Flats from Sebago.  This chic menswear inspired flats weirdly remind me of what a modern day lady would wear while walking the halls of her stately home in the English countryside.
Yes, that is entirely over descriptive, but being honest here, sometimes that’s how I like to think. 😉
I’ve been throwing these flats on with dresses & skinny jeans quite a bit lately. Excited to break these kicks out a whole lot this fall!

Sitting here on the balcony of this beach house and sharing bits & pieces of my favorite fall fashion is honestly kind of  confusing.  I’ve never taken our beach vacation this time of year, so it’s bizarre to be applying aloe to my arms & donning tropical print dresses while my Instagram feed is full of sweaters, scarves & boots!
However bizarre it may be, I’m thoroughly enjoying this break from reality and soaking up all things Florida right now. If you’re curious what I’m up to off of the blog this week, be sure to follow on Instagram! I’ve been sharing my beachy looks, favorite food spots & a glimpse into the cutest little beach/resort town of Rosemary Beach.
