Eggplants & Bucket Backpacks

Knee-deep into fall, and I’ve found myself practically living in this long sleeve eggplant colored blouse. With all of the random trips we’ve been taking these past few weekends, this easy-to-wear top has been packed into each & every suitcase.
Speaking of travel, how many of you guys still carry backpacks on the regular? Even though we may no longer be in school …. 🙂

Well, in case it isn’t too obvious, I’ve recently re-jumped back on the backpack bandwagon.
As a passionate blogger with a full-time job & about a billion different other things going on as well, I’m always carrying more than I think I’ll need when I leave the house for the day.
Lately, I’ve mostly been filling this bucket backpack with a bunch of random daily necessities, because you never know what’s going to come up out of nowhere at the end of the work day.
(Notebook, pens, lipsticks, hair ties, bobby pins, back up iPhone battery, a pair of roll up flats … & etc.)
Basically the things that I am allllways losing!
In Houston, we live out of our cars (that’s why there’s so much traffic) so it’s wonderful to be able to have what you need on standby when you need it!!
Fun fact: this stylish (& heavy duty) bucket backpack from Saddleback can easily transition from a backpack into a purse.
And looks great paired with eggplant colored tops! 🙂 In my opinion.

What I love about throwing this simple top on over a pair of jeans, is that it’s just so EASY.  Add a long necklace, a pair of booties & sunnies & you’re all set.

And of course, a fall-themed cup of coffee from Starbucks doesn’t hurt the one bit either. 😉

If you all have been following me along on Instagram, you probably saw some pictures from what may have been the most fun wedding I’ve ever attended! I wish I could go back in time and relive the whole thing.  From crying tears of joy watching my friend Carey say “I do” to prancing around a horse field in the most gorgeous of beaded sequin gowns, to not messing up my MOH speech, to late night buffalo nachos with the bridal party …. every single thing about the weekend was epic.
I’m hoping to share more than a few photos soon! I definitely took one too many, as per usual!
In other news, happy Monday! Let’s do this!
