My Fall Uniform: 2015

If you’ve been following my blog for a (very) long while, you may remember how I had what I called a “fall uniform” last year.  Well, this year, it’s safe to say that this outfit is 100% my version of the “fall uniform,” 2015 style.

Pairing the softest knit tee with looser fitting olive denim, I couldn’t think of a better combination for everyday weekend wear.
Who else has seen everything olive this & olive that all over the place this fall?! It’s the color of the season, and I can’t get enough of it!
Can’t stop / won’t stop rocking this bucket bag.  I’ve finally found a simple (yet elegant) purse that goes with EVERYTHING!

While this outfit is all about feeling comfortable & relaxed, I had to chic it up a bit with my new lovelies: these Swedish Hasbeens
There is something about pairing slouchy pants with heels that I just love! It makes the look a whole lot less “boy-ish” & the extra height in the heel helps to balance out the loose fitting pants.

These simple (yet utterly amazing) pearl “high” heels I’m wearing are inspired from the Swedish style clogs that were all the rage back in the 1970s. With everything 70s oh-so “in” right now, these comfortable & stylish heels are right on trend.
They are a bit on the higher price point side. And so worth it. They are hand made with natural leather & wood & will last so long that your grand kids could even wear your pair one day.
My little future grandchild is going to be the most stylish gal on the block!
(Ha….we are so not even there yet y’all.) 😉

For the days when I really want to “chill” in my fall uniform, I switch out the heels with a pair of sneakers for a just as chic laid back look.
But let’s be honest, I’ll grab the heels over the sneakers the majority of the time. 😉
On a completely un-fashion related note.  How on earth is it already mid-October?!?!?!
I don’t think it’s truly hit me yet that we are smack dab in
the middle of fall & that the holidays are right around the corner.  At work, all we are talking about are holiday
related things, and I’m seeing sweaters & pumpkins all over the place.  Maybe because it just doesn’t feel like fall
down here, it hasn’t really sunk in yet. Going on my third fall in Texas this year, and I’m still somewhat confused
by it. Why are you still around 89+ degrees outside, Texas weather??
At least a trip to Memphis is on the horizon! My bestie is
getting married this weekend and I couldn’t be more excited.  She’s having an outdoor wedding & I’m
crossing my fingers for the perfect of Tennessee fall temperatures to grace the
occasion.
Also, her bridesmaids dresses are unbelievable. It’s not too
often you’re in a wedding where you, as the bridesmaid, have been looking forward
to wearing your dress for at least a good year. Can’t wait to share photos of what’s going to
be a wonderful weekend!
But until then, I’ll be powering through the rest of the work
week on ALL the coffee.
Happy Monday, ya’ll!
