Boho Party Dress

We’re one month and just a few days away from Christmas! (Insert screams of excitement here!)
Now that we’re “grown ups” the holidays seem to be the only time of year when we can count on getting all dressed up in our fanciest of finery.
Gone are the days of homecoming dances & sorority formals held on the regular. These days the party dresses seem to come out only for weddings, office Christmas parties & New Year’s Eve.
{Perks of being a grown up though, mom doesn’t have to approve your dress length & you can basically pick out whatever you want.}
Which leads me to this boho lace bell sleeved party dress…..

If you ask me, minus the mini length, this would have totally been a “mom approved” party dress back in college.
But somehow in recent years, high necklines and long bell sleeves became “in” & “sexy.” Thank you for your style inspiration, 1970!
You wan’t to have some “fun” with your holiday party dress though, which is why I love the unique cut out sheer details at the arms & neckline.

Y’all have seen me rock my Swedish Hasbeen sandals on the blog a few times now.
You guys, I can’t even begin with these shoes! They are insanely comfortable! Once the weather finally drops to a temperature that I can’t handle anymore, you better believe I’m going to start styling these pretties with socks.
Man Repeller will totally approve. 😉

I originally picked this dress out for my sister-in-law’s bachelorette party in Nashville. She requested that we all dress up in black, while she rocked a white sequin number with a sparkly light-up white cowgirl hat. Perfect for Nashville, right?
That night, I styled this mini dress with a pair of cowboy boots to dress it down. (Plus we were heading to at least 4 honky tonk bars later that evening.) 😉
I’m looking forward to dressing this boho number up again for the holidays with sky high heels, a tiny clutch and a fancy updo. I’ll add a dark purple lip too, for good measure.
This Josey Dress from Free People is by far one of my favorite party dresses of the season.  With the holidays just getting started though, I’ve got my eye on a few more pretties from Free People.  Their party dresses are killing it this year! And there seem to be like … 100+ to choose from!
I’ve narrowed down a few favorites here:

Texas friends, the new Dallas location at Northpark Center just opened a few weeks ago! This boutique is much larger than most Free People locations – featuring a large assortment of pretty holiday dresses too.
In Houston, we have Free People at both CityCentre & The Galleria. If you find your perfect dress online & don’t see it in a boutique, a sales associate can order it from you in the store, for free shipping too!

Now, who’s ready to start sipping on spiked egg nog & cider while dancing to cheesy Christmas music?!

Me! Me! Me! Me!

As always, y’all, thanks for stopping by the blog!
