Victorian Era Meets 90’s Grunge

The title of this post is … er … a bit odd I know. More on that below!
Update on my life: I’m still so full from all of the turkey, stuffing, & pumpkin pie this weekend … yet I find myself continuing to eat all of the leftovers.
That’s literally ALL we’ve done this weekend. Eat. Eat. Eat. Watch TV. & Eat.
I guess that’s what happens when you cancel all of your travel plans and decide to veg out at home. Not going to lie, it has been glorious and this relaxing long weekend of doing nothing has been just what I needed!
With all my free time, I fit some blogging in, so here’s a rare Sunday outfit post for ya!

Pixie Market top, pixie market lace top, pixie market white lace top, pixie market high neck top, high neck white lace top, victorian inspired lace top
I’ve been crushing hard on Pixie Market lately.  From their Victorian inspired tops and dresses to their edgy mini dresses & funky jewelry – the collection is oh-so unique and unlike any other place I shop.
I like to call this top my “Tuck Everlasting” top. It’s like the modern day version of something Alexis’ Bledel’s character would have worn in the movie. (Who else was obsessed with that movie in the 7th grade?!)
The top is sadly sold out! & it was only online for a week too … you gotta snatch the goods from Pixie Market while you can! I’ve linked lookalikes below tho!
Today is the last day to take advantage of Pixie Market’s big 20% off Black Friday sale! Some of my favorites are linked below (including this knuckle ring set that’s less than $12!) Use the code BLACK20 to get the discount.

So … are you feeling like you REALLY want to shop Pixie Market now too? If so, you’re in luck!
Head on over to Pixie Market’s instagram for the opportunity to win a $200 gift card! They are giving away one each week.
Topshop moto skirt, topshop denim skirt, topshop denim midi skirt, button front denim midi skirt
Combining my 1890’s inspired top with a 90’s inspired denim midi skirt makes for a very unique look indeed.
But I like it!
The only shoes I felt made sense with this ensemble were my go to Swedish Hasbeens.

Swedish Hasbeens, swedish hasbeens pearl high, pearl high swedish hasbeens, swedish hasbeen sandals, black swedish sandals, swedish wedges
Had to kick my feet up … because …. what other way am I going to share the details of my most favorite-est winter/summer sandals

Shop the look:

This top even features minimally puffy Victorian inspired sleeves as well as a high-neckline.  When I wore it the other day, I was determined to find a place where I could have high tea and eat petit-fours.
It only makes sense, right?
Also, just bringing up petit-fours makes me fill ill.  About twenty minutes ago I had another serving of one of the most delicious additions to our Thanksgiving meal. This Pumpkin Cream Cheese Dump Cake that I found on Pinterest.  If you saw my snapchat this weekend (aliceksnaps) then you saw a bit of us baking this sweet treat.
Well, I have to say, it was one of the tastiest desserts I’ve probably ever baked and I HIGHLY recommend it! It’s going down in the Kerley Thanksgiving Recipe Book for sure.
*This recipe book does not exist yet, but I may have to create it as soon as I finish this post. 😉
As always, thanks for stopping by the blog! Don’t forget to follow the Lone Star Looking Glass on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest & Instagram!
