Francesca's Friends & Family Event & a Giveaway!

Two weeks ago I had so much fun hosting the francesca’s friends & family event at Houston’s Highland Village Boutique!
As most of you know, I love love love francesca’s so when I was asked to host an in-store styling event, I jumped at the chance! … & immediately started planning out the different outfits & would style, in my head.
Today I’m sharing a glimpse into the event, a separate style feature with one of my favorite wintery fran looks & a chance for you to win my holiday francesca’s$100 gift card giveaway!
:

Before we dive right into the details of the holiday soiree I hosted not too long ago, I want to talk about this cozy, casual & oh-so chic wintery look I styled with francesca’s.

As we all know, it doesn’t get too cold down here in Houston. (Especially not this winter!) Francesca’s has us winter loving gals covered with their large assortment of ruanas, wraps and ponchos.
These lightweight layering pieces are all you need to keep “warm” and cozy while still taking part in the wintery fashions of the season.
Did I mentioned the amazing price point too? This “Mesquite Ruana Wrap” that I’m wearing is only $38 and comes in black, white & red!
It also doubles as a blanket on the fly. 😉

To let my ruana stand out, I paired it with a black clutch, black fringe boots, a simple striped chambray top & a floppy hat

{Speaking of accessories, fran is running a BOGO promotion at the moment! Buy one accessory get the other 50% off!}

What I love most about this casual wintery look is that it’s oh-so comfortable and can be worn to just about anything.  For me (luckily) I can wear this to work, out shopping, to the movies, a dinner date or even at home snuggled up on the couch. (Using the ruana as a blanket – duh!)
These past few weeks I’ve noticed myself opting for much more casual comfortable looks lately. It’s probably because you never know what you’re going to get with the fluctuating crazy temperatures of Houston, Texas!
Speaking of cute & casual looks! Here’s a glimpse into the recent francesca’s friends & family styling event that I hosted, as well as a look at a few of the outfits I pulled together.
I’ve hosted a few styling events in and around the city & they have been SUCH fun! I’ll take any excuse to get a group of girls together for an evening centered around fashion. 🙂
I pulled together five separate “very Alice” looks to be on display throughout the event.
While obviously I love all of these, I can’t get over how fun the fur vest is with the pink plaid shirt! You don’t really see this light red/pink shade of plaid too often and I now can’t get enough of it!
The blue sparkly dress would be perfect for NYE. (So typical me – give me alllll the blue!)
& it’s also safe to say that a striped dress paired with a green anorak is my daily uniform.  I had to add the pop of blue in the necklace for good measure. 🙂
Friends, fellow bloggers, and new acquaintances stopped by to chit chat, shop and snack on the most delicious of cupcakes throughout the evening.
Speaking of shopping, francesca’s was filled with so many great gifts to give the gals (and guys) on your holiday list this year.
From the making of the perfect wintery outfits ….
to jewelry galore …
…. & the most adorable of holiday goodies, Frozen inspired items too!
You guys, that movie is never going to go out of style – and I am totally okay with that!
Also, hello! (You get quite a few pics like this one when you hand your camera off to your friend for the evening.)

Now that I’ve enticed you all with so much yummy fran eye candy, the least I can do is offer you a $100 gift card, right? Anyone can enter, but only one lucky winner will win!  Winner will be announced Wednesday, December 30th.  Good luck!

And as this is my last post before I jump right into celebrating the holidays with family, I want to wish you all a very very Merry Christmas! I’ve talked a lot about presents, gifts & etc. which is always fun, but the most important thing about Christmas is spending time with family and acknowledging the true meaning of the season.
Hope your holiday is filled with laughs & lots of love!
