Texas “Winter” Style

Oh the weather outside is “frightful.”
That is if you live in Texas and to you 50 degrees is cooooooold!
We are finally getting to pull out our “winter” clothes and I am absolutely loving it!

So the blanket scarf trend: I’ve always been obsessed with all things plaid (you should see my closet) so it’s no surprise that I’m eating up this chunky plaid scarf trend.
I stumbled upon this orange one a few weeks ago and I still can’t get over how fun the unique colors and overall design of this scarf is!
Some blanket scarves are so chunky, because they are actually literal blankets.  This one is cut in a way that it gives you just enough fabric to “get the job done.”

I played off the black stitching in the scarf and paired it with my black OTK boots, a black fringe bag & a simple black wristwatch.
(Ps: Had to share this $70 pair of black fringe over the knee boots!)
Oh & I can’t forgot my cozy black hat now can I?
I bought this hat for our camping trip that didn’t happen.  But I finally got to wear it for like 20 minutes the other morning when it was 40 degrees. Pretty exciting stuff! 😉

Shop the Look:

One thing I love about Texas winters, is that an outfit like this one is sometimes all you need to stay warm.  We don’t always have to fool with the big chunky overcoats, as it rarely gets below freezing down here. Just a lightweight sweater with winter accessories & we’re good to go!
Texans, what’s your favorite way to keep warm (or cool) in the winter, while still wearing your winter favorites?!
As always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
