Defining White Denim

One more week of February you guys! “Winter” is almost over!
Ha, it never actually came to Houston.  It feels so good here (sorry, not sorry) that I’m already pulling out my white jeans!
That whole no white after Labor Day or before Easter thing … so twentieth century.

As we know, distressed denim is all the rage these days, so I couldn’t resist styling this pair of subtly distressed white jeans from Wild Blue.  And this pair is less than $30, so duh!
(Ps: these jeans are junior sizing! They’re also pretty stretchy, so if you’re interested in them – be sure to pick the smaller size if you’re in between.)
The fun thing about distressed white denim is that it’s not so glaringly obviously distressed, like our blue jeans.
So … this pair is kind of like “subtle-edgy.”

Of course, the lace details in Wild Blue’s chambray top totally counteracts any form of edgy-ness that I could have possibly pervaded.

I dressed up this casual look with double the red fringe: a la my crossbody & tassel necklace.  A fun go-with-everything watch from Shore Projects finished it off. (Shore Projects is a UK watch brand with a “British seaside” vibe. Yes, I like it even more because it’s British. I’ll always be an Anglophile!)

Speaking of all things British, who else is absolutely DEVASTATED that we are nearing the end of Downton Abbey? I am probably going to just sit in my room and sob when it’s all over.  How will life go on without my weekly dose of Grantham?!
PS: I hopped on an airplane bright and early this morning to head to Palm Springs, CA! I’ll be there all week long for work. Follow along on Instagram and Snapchat (@aliceksnaps) because I’m sure I’ll be getting camera happy!
