Poplin and Pink

How nasty is Houston’s weather today!?
I just want to stay inside with a book, or time travel to last weekend in Mexico! Either way, I’ll be quite content.
Instead, I’m waking up early, drinking coffee, and blogging away before I head off to work!
To brighten up your Thursday, I’m sharing my favorite way to give a simple outfit the “wow factor.”

So you want to know the answer?

Bright Pink Heels!

I am stepping out of my comfort zone a little bit with this pair of bright pink kitten heels from Zvelle.  I’m usually not a pink girl, but I am loving this fun shade.

When debating on ordering these in blue (my “color”) or pink, my co-worker convinced me to go with pink.  She said, “pink, duh!” Ha! Plus, Zvelle refers to the color as “Cactus Pink Fuchsia,” which I could not resist!

They do dress up an outfit and give off an “oomph / wow look at this fashionista” vibe … or is that just me?!

I also love that these heels kind of sort of channel a grown-up version of Barbie, in the chicest way of course.

These pretty Rayna Kitten Heels are handcrafted in Brazil and made from materials ethically sourced from around the world, pretty cool right?

I dressed up this adorable poplin cold shoulder top with silver jewelry and a neutral handbag.
Now let me tell you ab it about these pretty jewels of mine. The earrings above (looking gold because of the sun, but I tell you they are silver!) anyway, these earrings are from Emma & Chloe, a French designer jewelry subscription service.
It’s like getting sophisticated French fashion delivered to your door, monthly. & in a super cute box to boot!
I also love how well this bangle from From St. Xavier matches the earrings! From St. Xavier is a fashion-forward boho-ish accessory line based out of Australia.  Stumbling upon unique places to shop is seriously so much fun, and finding From St. Xavier was like finding gold. (No pun intended! … for those who don’t get it. They sell gold. lol, I should just stop with the cheesy jokes!)

What I love most about this look, is that it works for just about anything: a casual date night, a day in the office (if you’re leaning on the casual side) or happy hour with the girls.
Speaking of happy hour, it’s Thirsty Thursday! Who is celebrating?! My in-laws are coming in this weekend and we have several happy hours, lots of Mexican food and rodeo action on our horizon. Needless to say, I can’t wait!
Hope you all have a happy Thursday, and as always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
