#rStheCon ~ Part 1

Shop the Look:

Just a few weeks ago I drove (all the way) up to Dallas for a long weekend spent surrounded by creative fashionistas talking all things blog at rewardStyle the conference.

200 bloggers from 14 different countries headed to the Joule in downtown Dallas to connect with brands from across the country, the amazing team at rewardStyle and of course, with each other.
Today I’m talking all about the first few days of #rStheCon. (Because the whole weekend could not possibly fit it into one post!) And sharing a look into what I wore to while I was up there!

The first night of the conference kicked off with a party by Joule’s rooftop pool hosted by British clothing brand, Missguided.

I headed up to Dallas knowing a few Houston girls attending. However, I showed up alone and was kind of a bit early to the party!

Not a bad thing, because I didn’t know a soul around me – I was able to meet several bloggers from Germany and the Missguided ladies from all the way in the UK!

It’s wonderful how sweet people can be when you walk up and introduce yourself to them out of nowhere!

I got dolled up for the evening in this Derek Lam floral print midi dress, thanks to Rent the Runway! If you’re smitten, you can snag your own to keep here. I’m also loving this under $30 maxi that looks oh-so-similar.
Soon several people that I already knew arrived, and shortly after that, many more new friends were made!
Sipping on prickly pear palomas on a rooftop pool patio, with a couple hundred girls who all have similar interests to you is verrrry conducive to making new friends. 😉
Destiny from Truly Destiny, me (obvi), Jenny from Boho Style File, and Alex from Adored by Alex

Friday morning kicked off the actual conference. It was time for lots of coffee & learning!

And another cute outfit. 😉

My obsession with blue & white continues with this Papercrown floral skirt from Anthropologie.

When these two get together, magical things happen!

My monogrammed tassel clutch is from Gigi New York. It was such a treat to meet the faces behind these beautiful purses at the conference.

They even brought along their actual monogramm-er! (Is that a word!?) Seeing the purse printing action, especially with mine above, was pretty dang cool!

While in Dallas, I was able to meet up with Megan Weaver to shoot these fun photos. She recently spoke at Thrive Blog Conference here in Houston, so getting to actually shoot with her on the streets of her hometown was amazing!

The conference kicked off with words from rewardStyle founder Amber Venz Box.
Then sessions from the lovely talented ladies above.  I was most excited to hear Mary from Happily Grey speak. I’ve been pinning outfit pictures of this stylish girl since Pinterest first started!
Topics that were covered ranged from content evolution to consumer trends to even tackling what’s next in the world of online publishing.
Looking forward to putting all of this to use!

Later that afternoon we met with many of the brands attending the conference, such as Kendra Scott, Supergoop, Reiss, ModCloth, M. Gemi & more!

After the perfect amount of information overload, it was time for a little siesta before putting on my cocktail dress for that evening’s garden party with Joe Fresh.
I don’t think I’ve worn so many different fabulous outfits in a 3-day span before in my entire life! Needless to say, getting dressed up for each day’s different events was ridiculously fun. As was making so many new friends along the way!
Tomorrow I’m sharing part 2 of my weekend in Dallas. Stop by for a few more festive looks and a peek into a garden party, a luxury luncheon & and an evening en blanc.
As always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
