What to Wear: Festival Season

As I’m writing this, I’m still on a high from last night’s Celtic Woman concert. It’s all I want to talk about! But more on that later.

Because today I’m sharing the most boho of looks this blog has ever seen! I’m talking about my favorite festival fashions and trends of 2016.

Coachella may have come and gone. (Who that we know in person actually goes to it though?) But there are still many occasions between now and fall to break out your “festival-wear.”

Whether it be a crawfish boil, a taco festival (we actually have these!), an outdoor concert, or even a day spent at an outside at a beer garden, wearing an outfit like this one would be 100% appropriate.

I recently bought this top at Houston’s new Scout + Molly’s boutique! It’s located in West U in a very parking lot friendly location! (Which if you live in Houston, you know how much of a big deal this is!)

Scout + Molly’s carries all sorts of brands you’re probably already familiar with (BCBG for one) but it’s also filled with a ton of hidden treasures (like this top) that you’ll be glad you stumbled upon!

Not going to lie, this low back is a big “risque” for me. But I figured I’m only in my 20s once, so I might as well go for it!

To bring out the true boho, I paired a square beaded fringe bag with tall gladiator sandals from Qupid Shoes.

Isn’t this crossbody so unique?! I’ve never seen anything like it and I’m totally loving it! This one is less than $100 too!

As for my gladiator sandals, I straight up feel like an Ancient Roman when wearing them. Which I’m also 100% okay with. 😉

Lone Star Looking Glass readers can use the code ALICE15 at checkout to get 15% off your pair of sandals from Quipid Shoes. #party!

So… let’s talk about Celtic Woman!!!

Here’s a fun fact about me, I’m obsessed with all things Celtic and/or Irish related. Not sure if it’s my Irish roots, the music my mom played for me as a kid, or whether or not my grandfather was, in fact, a leprechaun … but last night’s concert was like a dream come true!

I actually tried (pretty hard) to convince a number of different people to go with me. Patrick had something else going on or he probably would have come, but I was determined not to let anything stop me … so I went to the concert all by myself! I purchased a ticket on the upstairs balcony and had a pretty good seat all to my lonesome.  And the most ironic part? There was a girl just two seats down from me who showed up alone too! We both bonded over our quirky love for our Celtic playlists, telling each other that it was all we listened to at work. #truth.  Like, did we just become best friends!? ha!

It’s a pretty rainy gross start to the day here in Houston, but I’m ready to kick Monday’s butt and conquer the work week. Hope you are too! And as always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
