In My Red High Heels

Can you believe today is the last day of May? Where has spring gone? It already feels like the dog days of summer are upon is in Houston-which calls for lightweight flowy sundresses to stay cool.

Today I’m talking all about how to bring your floral sundress to the next level with a pair of statement heels.

I have a closet filled with shoes, they are my weakness, I must admit! But if you look closely, you’d notice a trend: pretty much every pair is in some sort of neutral shade. I typically like to play it safe with shades of cream, brown and black. That way they’ll go with more of what’s in my closet.

BUT life isn’t always about playing it safe. And sometimes you’ve gotta try a pair of red strappy frilly stilettos for a change.

Not only do your feet look freakkkking awesome! But this pair of strappy heels also comes with a fun confidence booster. Because who can possibly give a rough time to anybody confident enough to rock a pair of these red heels?

This pair of mine is from Missguided and was a steal at only $51! I believe they miiight be sold out, but if you’re not ready to rock the red just yet, the black is still available.

Steve Madden also has a similar pair of red pretties that are just as cute!

I love the way the red heels match this floral sundress oh-so-perfectly.  Coming in at just $58, this dress (now on sale) was another major steal from Nordstrom! It also comes in blue. Which is dangerous, because I’m obsessed with all things blue.
Quick. Someone convince me that I don’t need both!

Only joking. I think I’ll survive.

A neutral wicker picnic satchel balanced out the shoes and suddenly this look is ready for any and all summertime soirees.

On my way to frolick off to more summertime adventures in my “reed hiiiigh heeeels.” Anybody else love that Kellie Pickler song just as much as I do?

Well on another note, it’s the Tuesday back to work after a long weekend. The struggle bus is going to be packed today! This weekend, Patrick and I watched at least three movies on the Disney Channel Original Movie Marathon, spring cleaned the house, went on several walks with the dogs and cooked up some delicious meals – just the two of us! It was a much needed relaxing weekend. Yet, I’m still not relaxed enough for the real world to begin just yet! Seems to always be the case. 😉

More coffee will do the trick, I’m sure! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! And just think, it’s only a 4 day work week until we get to relax all over again!

As always, thanks for stopping by the blog. Don’t forget to follow along on Pinterest, Instagram, Snapchat (@aliceksnaps), Twitter and Facebook!
