White Linen Night with Emerson Rose

One of my favorite nights of the year is right around the corner: Houston Heights White Linen Night! Us Houstonians spend the hot hot summer, for the most part, indoors because 95+ degree height is just no bueno. But for one night in early August, we all forget the temperatures and don our favorite white frocks for one epic street party on Houston Heights’ Historic 19th Street.

19th street is probably my favorite little spot in all of Houston. With so many adorable shops and restaurants, you could spend an entire day exploring these two blocks. But today I’m talking all about 19th streetest cutest boutique of all (and a one-stop shop for your White Linen Night look) Emerson Rose!

Emerson Rose offers a mix of eclectic, boho, classic and trendy pieces as well as adorable jewelry you won’t find anywhere else. Oh and so many cute gifts to grab for the hostess at your next dinner party!

Located conveniently next door to Torchy’s Tacos (talk about good neighbors), Emerson Rose is nestled in the heart of 19th Street.

White Linen Night was first organized as a way for neighbors to get together to support local businesses during the summer. 10 year’s after Houston’s first street soiree, White Linen Night has evolved into a massive street party where party-goers come from all over Houston, not just The Heights. This year’s festivities take place on August 6th!

With live music, street vendors, food trucks and local businesses going above and beyond for the big night, it’s a party you don’t to miss!

This year, Emerson Rose will be celebrating WLN by hosting some amazing local businesses such as Heights Tees by Ruby + James Co and offering fresh flower crowns from Flower Vibes. (What’s cuter than a pretty white dress paired with a flower crown!?) Steel City Pops will also be hanging out with live tunes from Hayden Jones & The Roosevelt House Band playing in the background.

Even though I sadly will be out of town and missing WLN this year (*tear!!*) if I was going, you’re looking at exactly what I’d be wearing for the festivities!

This white flowy tunic top from Emerson Rose falls all the way to the floor, and from one angle, you might just confuse it as a dress!

I paired it with cropped light wash jeans (insanely comfortable and also from Emerson Rose) and my go-to sandals for summer.

I love the feminine flirty details of this top! And it also makes for a great transitional piece for my “new bod.” 😉

If you’re in Houston, you don’t want to miss out on the WLN festivities in just a few short weeks! If you’re living in NOLA, then you’re just as lucky, because they have a White Linen Night of their own too. Not from either of these two cities? Why not host your own all-white-attire soiree? Because who doesn’t love a good theme party?

As always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
