Raise your hand if you can’t believe that Christmas is less than two weeks away! This holiday season, I’ve been living in cozy sweaters and blue jeans. Typically I share a number of different “festive party looks” this time of year, but you guys, the thought of putting on a cocktail dress (even a maternity one) at 8-months pregnant is just no bueno!

Today I’m talking all about how easy it is to dress up your cozy sweaters for the holiday season with three simple tips below, whether you’re preggers or not!

Start with a statement necklace.

No matter what color or silhouette your sweater is, a bold (preferably sparkly) statement necklace is going to take your sweater from couch-sitting to cocktail sipping in a jiffy.

Add a pair of heels.

A pair of your dressier heels will complement the statement necklace and make your outfit look like it’s meant to be worn for a fancier occasion, even if it is just a sweater & jeans.

Your handbag is key.

Pair it with a sleek clutch. We all love our oversized handbags, trust me! But there’s nothing chicer than a sleek clutch and a pair of fabulous heels! With the right accessories, your cozy & comfortable look is ready for your next holiday event.

While I know you can’t get away with wearing this to your company’s Christmas party, think more along the lines of an evening happy hour or more casual cocktail event. Or even a friend’s holiday house party! I recently wore this outfit to a holiday dinner with some friends and while everyone else was in dresses, I didn’t feel out of place one bit in this look.

My mantra this time of year, don’t be afraid to go bold! Whether it be in the accessories or the outfit itself, it’s the one time of year we can reallllly get away with the sparkliest pieces we have, so why not rock them?

As always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
