How to Do Airbrush Makeup in 5 Minutes | Lone Star Looking Glass

Y’all have heard me mention Luminess Air on here a time or two before. I’ve had the fun opportunity to try out a few different products that they offer and I’m so excited to be able to review & share them with you all.

How to Do Airbrush Makeup at Home in Minutes:

When it comes to makeup, I like things to be quick, easy & effective. The less time I can spend getting ready for the day, the better. Today I’m sharing another makeup look from Luminess Air that I can’t get enough of, and how to apply the look yourself in less than 5 minutes! (Because contrary to what you’re probably thinking, airbrushing really can be that simple!)

Say hello to Luminess Air’s Mystic Foundation Package. This goodie box comes with two shades of the Mystic all-in-one airbrush foundation, mascara, and lipgloss. Basically the necessities for everyday makeup.

Like I said earlier, I love being able to get ready for the day in a pinch. So in 5 minutes or less, here’s how I go from start to finish for a fresh makeup look with airbrushing.

Start with a Fresh Face.

I usually use a makeup remover towelette to get rid of anything that still might be leftover from the night before. Then I apply a bit of moisturizer all over the face.

Airbrush on Mystic Foundation.

Next, I add a few drops of foundation to the airbrush and spritz away! Try to keep your hand at least six inches away for the best coverage.

I’ve used quite a few foundations since I started wearing it back in college. Concealers too! (The early riser in me will never be able to escape from those dark undereye circles!) From cakey to barely there, I’ve discovered what I know I don’t like and what works best for me when it comes to both foundations & concealers. I love that Luminess Air’s Mystic Foundation is an all in one primer, concealer & color corrector that goes on smooth & gives complete coverage.

Brush on the Blush

When I’m getting ready in a pinch, I brush on my everyday blush over the foundation with just two or three quick sweeps. Usually if I have more time, or something special planned, I’ll use Luminess Airs airbrush blush. It stays allllll day!

Mix it Up with Mascara.

One thing my mom ingrained in me in my teenage/college years was to never leave the house without at least wearing mascara. And seeing what I look like in photos without it, I’ve totally heeded her advice ever since!

Luminess Air offers products that aren’t just airbrushing specific, like their mascara and lipgloss. I love that this particular tube of mascara doesn’t look too cakey. It also has a thin wand that really stretches out your lashes. The mascara goes on so well, that you really don’t even need to pair eyeliner with it! (All about that saving time!)

Toss on the Gloss.

Last but not least, I add a quick swipe of light pink lip gloss followed by a lip smack or two in the mirror and I’m good to go!

I love that in the end, I’m left with a completely polished but natural makeup look. And thanks to the airbrushing, it stays put! After getting ready at 6:30 am, I still look like I have makeup on by the time 7:00 pm rolls around! Woooot! (I typically suffer from almost all of my makeup mysteriously disappearing by the time I get home from work. No clue how this happens, but airbrushing seems to have cured me from it.)

I’m thinking once baby is here, this will be the makeup look I opt for the most. A quick and easy natural glow, that lasts all day!? Sign me up!
