My New Mom Uniform

Houston blogger styles an outfit for spring: white true religion jeans, sole society wedges, a blue and black colorblocked chicwish top with a cult gaia handbag.

Every time I walk into my closet I find myself gravitating towards the exact same type of outfit: stretchy skinny jeans and a big flowy tunic top. (That is … on the days that I actually plan to leave the house!) This look has officially become my “uniform” of sorts. Having a baby only two months ago, it’s not like I’m ready to be in tight tops or bodycon dresses anytime soon. But let’s be honest, it’s not like I wore those before baby anyway…so this new uniform of mine totally works for me!

I’m sharing one of my favorite new-mom friendly looks and rounding up a few flowy tunic tops that I’m majorly crushing on – all in today’s post!

Flowy tunic tops have seriously become my favorite thing these past two months. Not only are they crazy comfortable, but when ya throw on a nursing tank underneath it’s practically the most perfect top for a breastfeeding mamma. (Other than a button down of course, also one of my go-tos these days!)

This tunic top is from Chic Wish, an online boutique with SO many cute tops & dresses, all at fabulous price points too. Just ordered this one & this one actually! My blue and black color blocked top falls at the perfect length, is pretty lightweight and is only $46! If y’all have followed this blog for a while, you know I’m obsessed with Anthropologie everything. (Who isn’t’!?) I feel like a lot of Chic Wish’s pieces have that same aesthetic you’d see at Anthro, but for 1/3 of the price.

I dressed this flowy top up with white skinny jeans, comfortable wedges that actually work for carrying a baby around, and a fun summery clutch. Not going to lie, this clutch does not fall under the mom uniform as it is basically the most impractical handbag of ALL time haha. But it’s so cute I couldn’t resist! This Cult Gaia bag is finally back in stock, if you’ve had your eye on it too, grab it before it’s gone!

Flowy tunic tops, like I said – I can’t get enough! Here are a few of my favorite from all across the web!
