Maxed Out in Blue Florals

Blue floral eliza j maxi dress

Who else is totally confused by the fact that it’s Wednesday yet it feels like Monday? Me, me, me! We spent the long weekend in Madison, Mississippi visiting Patrick’s family. It was nice to get away and just relax! I actually took a real life nap not once but TWICE! I can’t even remember the last time I had one of those! Now that I’m back home I’m feeling refreshed and ready to bring y’all some more fun content on the blog! Starting with this bright floral maxi dress that works for more occasions than you might think. See what I mean below!

When I first got this Eliza J maxi dress, I immediately thought: BEACH TRIP! The bright floral print is perfect for a tropical vaca, of course. But I’ve also found so many different occasions to wear it in Houston too. {Wishing I was at the beach with each wear, naturally!} I recently hosted a luau themed baby shower and this pretty maxi dress was just perfect. I also wore it out to a casual dinner with Patrick and dressed it down with a pair of simple sandals. Whether you’re poolside, beachside or at your favorite local eatery in the city, I think it’s totally appropriate to don your bright tropical prints out both at home and away.

Speaking of beach trips! We have one planned for the end of July and it’ll be our first beach vacation with Annie. If any of you mamas have tips on what you need to bring with your babe to the beach, I’d LOVE to hear them! I’m looking into all sorts of different floats, tents, & baby pools for the sand and I have no idea what’s best & what we’d actually use. I’d so appreciate any and all feedback! And I’ll happily share the same upon our return. 😉

Wishing you all a wonderfully short work week, and as always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
