Beach Ready in a White Midi Dress

Hello from sunny Florida! I’m blogging from the back porch of our beach house this morning with a view of the waves crashing only 50 yards away or so. Can I do this every morning, pretty please!? It’s been so nice to get away from the daily grind and relax with family. Annie has so many aunts, uncles, and grandparents with us this week that I feel like I’ve hardly gotten a chance to cuddle her too! She hasn’t been put down a second with all the love around here!

In honor of being at the beach, I’m sharing a beachy inspired look with a dress I’ve worn all summer long! I’m chatting about why this dress is an absolute MUST plus sharing a few more details on what we’ve been up to in Florida below!

If I could wear one dress for the rest of my life … this white midi dress might be it! I love everything about it: the cut, color, length, bow & button details. It also comes in pink, a blue gingham, and a black gingham too. Why I don’t have all the colors, I’m still wondering myself! This dress is also pretty great as a nursing mama because I can just untie the straps and take care of Annie.  Most dresses are a bit too difficult to wear on the regular with her so I’m thrilled to have found this one. It comes in at only $54 and you can take an extra 10% off with the code NEF10 for a limited time too.

For this look, I dressed this little white dress up with Swedish Hasbeen sandals, blue stone statement earrings, a neutral beach bag & a crown braid head band that looks like the absolute real deal.

We’re a little more than halfway into our trip to the beach and I seriously don’t want it to ever end! We’re staying close to the town of Port St. Joe, which is about two hours south of Destin. It’s the most precious little fishing community with adorable shops and restaurants on the main drag too. We’ve never stayed this far south before but it’s been really nice because we have the beach practically to ourselves. My favorite parts of the trip so far have been nights around the firepit, morning bloody marys on the beach, seeing Annie’s face as the waves tickle her toes, and Patrick and I cooking our favorite recipe for the family.

Bringing a baby to the beach has been quite the challenge too (but totally worth it of course.) Normally my beach tote holds just the bare necessities like sunscreen, a good book and a towel. This trip it’s tripled in size with toys, diapers, wipes, and more toys. I’ll definitely be sharing tidbits on what we packed, what we used, what we didn’t later on. But anywho, it’s time for me to log off this computer and get back to the beach!

As always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
