Sunday’s Six: Fall Style, Food & Motherhood

Anthropologie Darphin Blogger Brunch in Houston, Texas

I used to write my Sunday Six series to chit chat about everything that was going on in life behind the blog. They were honestly some of my favorite posts to write because I felt like I could share whatever I wanted … whenever I wanted. (I mean, not that I don’t do that already to some extent!) Anyway, today I’m doing a Sunday’s “Five.”. Basically the same premise, just one less topic. I’m chatting about five things that have nothing to do with one another but are interesting enough, nonetheless.

From an event that YOU are invited to, to a cute coffee shop, fabulous fall shoe finds & an update on Annie at 8 months, today’s post has a whooolllleee lot going on!

ONE

First things first. I’m hosting an event with Anthropologie NEXT weekend! And you all are invited. (I mean as long as you live in or near Houston and can come join me!) We will be having a little brunch to celebrate the launch of Anthropologie’s latest skincare collection Darphin. It’s a line of luxurious creams, serums & scents straight from France. It smells & feels divine & the packaging is just plain chic! Please join me for sips, sweets & a morning of fashionable fun at Anthropologie’s Highland Village location next weekend! (You can RSVP to lonestarlookingglass@gmail.com if you’d like to confirm your spot!)

TWO

Thanks to one of the latest editions of Houston Tidbits, I discovered this adorable little coffee shop in Uptown (near the Galleria.) It’s called Merchant and they whip up delicious lattes along with sweet and savory crepes. My friend Brittany and I brought our two little girls with us and basically took over the coffee shop with squeals and giggles galore. The staff was so friendly and I’m sure we will be back soon!

THREE

I have been wearing this flowy white tunic top on repeat SO much lately! It is from this adorable boutique called The Ivory Closet and the owner, Alexandra, actually lives in my hometown of Memphis, TN. (Small world!) With the cutest collection of tops, dresses, denim & jewelry, y’all definitely are going to want to check out The Ivory Closet. Oh ps: I also have this cute-as-can-be tassel necklace from the boutique that looks great layered with just about anything!

Elaine Turner Fall 2018 London Calling Collection

FOUR

Another boutique I’m always swooning over is Elaine Turner. Elaine’s team invited a bunch of Houston bloggers to stop by for a preview of the fall collection earlier this week. With inspiration hailing from all the way across the pond, the London Calling theme was everywhere. From a member of the Queen’s Guard serving up drinks to fish & chips soaked in vinegar, I was having a blast shopping Elaine Turner along to Beatles tunes that evening.

While most of the collection is inspired by London, Elaine stayed true to her Texas roots and western influence is still as prevalent as ever. From western-inspired booties to python printed purses, I can’t get enough. And with the new embroidered collection? I’m seriously in love!

FIVE

Saving the best for last!! I’ve been meaning to do an 8-month update on All Things Annie but the time has just gotten away from me. It’ll be a 9-month update by the time it’s posted. In the meantime, I’m sharing this cute snap that was next to impossible to get. This girl is ON THE MOVE! Annie started crawling right around early September and has been wanting to explore every nook & cranny of our house ever since. It’s amazing to see the determination in her small blue eyes.

This weekend Annie, Patrick & I are headed up to Dallas to visit the Texas State Fair. We could not be more excited with all those funnel cakes and fried Oreos in our future! I have never been to the TX State Fair, so it should certainly be quite the adventure. Follow along on insta stories to see what we’re up to!

And as always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
