Cold Weather Comforts

Cheers to the coziest time of year!! There is nothing better when it’s cold outside than snuggling up on my couch with a hot drink, a good book & a sweet-smelling candle lit nearby. It’s basically a recipe for all things that are good! We just got a cold front here in Houston and I am soaking it upppp. It went from 89 degrees one day to 61 the next. I’m still quite confused by it all, but I can’t complain.

Just in time for the chilly (for us) weather, I’m teaming up with Babblebox to share cold weather comfort must-haves!

Cold Weather BabbleBox Review

Babblebox is a service that curates a box around different holidays and seasons to help consumers discover must-have products that they might not have known they needed! I was able to try it out for Father’s Day & Mother’s Day this past year and I’m still using so many of the goodies they sent. When their team asked if I wanted to try out the “cold weather comforts” box I was like, “Hellooo. Yes, please!”

Now that it’s finally cold outside, I’m excited to share with y’all what was inside the box!

Zippo Candle Lighter

Did the curators of this box know me and know how much trouble I have with everyday matches?! This mini flex neck candle lighter is easy to use and has a flexible tip that even the swankiest of candle jars can’t put up a fight against.

Chesapeake Bay Candle.

Not only does it set the mood, but it also makes for a sweet smelling home too! A little note came with the candle telling me that the scent was inspired by Maryland’s idyllic shoreline. Now if that combined with a good book isn’t enough to take your imagination on a wild ride then I don’t know what is!

Stuffy Nose Strips

Of course, it’s fun to think about all things cozy & wonderful this time of year. But in reality cold weather brings along plenty of … “colds.” Wonder where they got the name!? We’re glad to have these stuffy nose strips on hand to alleviate congestion whenever the time may arise. Grab ’em for 25% off w/ the code XECX9243.

Zoganic

Speaking of not feeling too hot, the Babblebox team also threw in a few samples of Zoganic. It’s a vitamin supplement that can be added to tea or a smoothie to help boost not only the immune system but also a healthy gut & eyesight. It also makes a great alternative to chewable vitamins for kiddos.

A Cup of Tea Forte

Ever since I studied abroad in the UK, drinking a “cuppa” tea always reminds me of being British for six months. I love trying out all different flavors and blends and Tea Forte’s winter chai does not disappoint. The tea comes in an adorable package for the holidays and each little bag has a green leaf that sticks out at the end to hold it in place in your mug. What a fun touch!! For 20% off teas until 12/31 you can use the code WJ20. Now, how cute would these teas be as stocking stuffers!?

Links – A Novel

One thing I wasn’t expecting to receive in the box was an actual book! I usually spend HOURS researching and reading lists before I pick out what I am going to read next. I can be quite picky! But having something just show up on my doorstep was a fun little experiment. Links is a romance novel that is described as a “quick read for fans of Sex and the City” and “hard to put down.” Two reviews that made me want to crack it right open! I’m only one chapter in and the only reason I put it down was because #momlife called. Excited to see how the rest of the book goes! (Ps: you can also grab it for Kindle for less than $5!)

Cold Weather BabbleBox Review

Are there any particular traditions that you have or silly little rituals you tend to do when the temperature drops? The other day I turned on the “fake fireplace” on Netflix and it was seriously divine!! I may have to just pull out my book & do that again this afternoon while Annie takes her nap. I’m all about savoring the quiet peaceful moments whenever I get a chance. Anywho, hope you all enjoy your weekend and whatever weather you may be having! Let’s all hope it stays cold down here in Houston!
