Happy Saturday! Now that the temps have finally dropped in Houston, I feel like I have so many more fall looks to share with y’all! I’m all about adding a special touch to your outfit so it stands out from the crowd, whether it be a bit of sparkly or embroidered glam. So it’s no surprise that today I’m sharing not only a bit of fall outfit inspiration – but I’m also chatting about my favorite ways to step up the traditional sweater & bootie game.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good simple solid sweater and a pair of go-with-everything brown booties. But, I also love doing things a little bit differently sometimes and trying trends that stand out from the crowd. Now that embroidery is everywhere, I couldn’t resist this black embroidered sweater. (It’s less than $25 too!) But what I wanted the most was to balance out this statement piece with a pair of fabulous shoes.
A stylish pair of shoes is my favorite way to tie a look together. And this holiday season this gold wash pair of booties from Revere Shoes could not be more than perfect! For one, the Siena Booties have a removable comfort footbed & a built-in arch, and they also have a slip-resistant sole which gives me a bit of a sigh of relief when running around town carrying a toddler in my arms. While the description and the product photo on the website both say that the shoes are gold, I honestly think that in person they have more of a silver undertone. You can definitely still see the gold shimmer when you look at them but I like that this way they can be paired with both silver & gold.
And now I find myself wanting to break into tune, “siiilvveeer & goooold.” Anyone else remember that Christmas song from the Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer movie!? Ooooh it’s a good one!
Anywho, I love this look for a casual weekend where absolutely anything could be on the agenda. I also think that it would be so chic to wear on Thanksgiving! It’s festive & comfortable too! On another note, can you guys believe Thanksgiving is just a little over a week away!? How is this even possible!? I’m off to chase the rest of the weekend before it passes me by.
