An Embroidered Dress for Every Season

This past summer, I embraced the embroidered trend in all its glory. (See here, here & here.) While most of my embroidered dresses are perfect for those warm summer days in the sun & those tropical trips we all try to fit in, they don’t really work well this time of year. Which is why I am absolutely loving this black, white & gray take on the trend! This embroidered dress comes in just the right colors to make it appropriate for fall + winter. The cut is a bit longer and the fabric is even a bit thicker making it perfect to pair with tights & booties too!

I’m styling the look below & chatting a bit about what I’ve been up to behind the blog lately. Head on down for more!

While I could rave about this Chicwish dress all day long (really I could) I also have the need to shout out from the rooftops how much I’m loving these lace-up heels from Seychelles. They are the perfect combination of heel + bootie and the lace-up details remind me of something that maybe Mary Poppins would even wear! 😉 Another fun feature is that they are also lined with fur. Which is absurd for Houston, I know, but it also makes them ridiculously comfortable so I can not complain a bit!

On another note, here’s what has been happening behind the blog lately.

We are gearing up for a very busy November. With family coming in town this week, an impromptu blog trip the week after (more details on that soon!), then two weeks in Tennessee after that, I’m giddy with excitement & also just a tad overwhelmed at the same time.

Annie took her first steps!!! They were just two small steps all on her own the other day. She hasn’t walked since but I am waiting on pins & needles to see it. Patrick actually saw her first steps while I was taking my first nap in months!! What are the chances?!

Patrick and I just finished Stranger Things Season 2. (Like the rest of the world.) And I was convinced it was much scarier than season 1.

I’m reading the book Named of the Dragon by Susanna Kearsley (one of my favorite authors.) The verdict is still out on whether or not I bought it solely because I identified a little too much with the girl on the cover.  (Castles in Wales & Fisherman Sweaters? It’s like it was made for me!)

Last but not least, my younger brother is coming in town Thursday for our annual trip to the Texas Renaissance Festival. It’s become our yearly tradition to head up to North Houston for turkey legs, jousting, & some of the best people watching you’ll ever see. Have any of y’all been before? (Check out one of my old posts on a previous visit here!)

As always, thanks for stopping by the blog and following along with my everyday style (and ramblings!) Hope you all have a great start to your week!!
