Who doesn’t love dressing the part for their summer vacations?! To me, resort-style means anything beachy, breezy and tassel-adorned. If a boutique has children’s clothing, I almost always can’t resist throwing something in my cart for Annie too while I’m shopping. Little girl’s clothes are just too fun, y’all!
Today, I’m sharing this adorable look that Annie and I are both styling from Mud Pie Gift and chatting a bit about our summer travel plans below!
I still can’t get over this precious little outfit of Annie’s! This tassel top & nautical printed pant are part of a set and come together. We sized her up to the 2T and she is already fitting in it perfectly. I’m thinking we will mix and match both of these pieces all season long!
This tassel-tote from Mud Pie is incredibly well made and only $45 too! They offer several different color tassel options but I love the black because it’ll pair well with just about everything. My striped shift can work as both a cover up and dress. I sized up to a medium for extra length and I love that going up a size makes it feel even more laid back and relaxed.

I just can’t help but smile when I look at these pictures of Annie. I also don’t understand how she looks like a legit child and not a baby anymore! Goodness, time is just flying. We’re spending the summer so far maxing out everything that the season has to offer. Pool days, popsicles, road trips and cookouts, we’re trying to do it all!
One thing that our schedule seems to be jam-packed with later this season is travel. (Of course, I wouldn’t have it any other way!) We’ve got one long trip to Tennessee next month where we’ll see pretty much the whole state, spending time with both sets of our families. I’m also headed up to The Blog Societies conference in Atlanta in August. My mom will be tagging along to watch Annie while I’m at the sessions. I’m sure the two of them will have Atlanta adventures all their own.
But what I’m most excited about is that after Atlanta, the three of us girls are doing a little “Tour-de-South” so to speak. We’ll be road tripping to Savannah followed by a few days in Charleston. I’ve never been to Savannah before and I can’t wait to check out this historic/haunted Southern city! I’m definitely thinking these coordinating mother-daughter outfits will be headed out with us!
