The Gingham Trend

I’m no stranger to gingham. It’s safe to say a quarter of my #OOTDs involve this pretty print. Fun fact, gingham originated in Europe in the 18th century. From 1960s mod dresses to picnic tables & aprons and even Dorothy’s famous blue & white gingham dress, gingham is a classic that has stood the test of time. One thing I love about this classic print is the trendy twists we’ve put on it today. Like this collared bell sleeve tunic top. Talk about a trendy silhouette!

Talking all about gingham, this steal of a top & a little life update below!

One reason why I love gingham is that it’s so easy to style with just about anything. Pair a bright purse or some funky earrings with it and the juxtaposition of prints & colors is too good to be true. This gingham tunic top is from one of my favorite budget friendly sites. Coming in at less than $20, it’s the perfect price point for a funky trendy piece like this one.

Now in non-fashion related news, if you’re following along on social media you’ll have seen that we’re still on our Texas Panhandle adventure! I’m typing this post from our Western-themed hotel room at The Big Texan Hotel actually. We woke up early & are sipping on coffee soaking in the last morning of our trip. The hotel TV is programmed to turn on to the Western movie channel, so naturally, that’s playing in the background. Today is our last day of our trip but we’re going to try to squeeze in a few more museums & tourist attractions before we fly out.

Annie has been an absolute angel our whole vacation and I’m now convinced she’s going to love traveling just as much as her mamma! Many of y’all have requested a post on tips for traveling with a baby and I’m totally going to write one. I’ve learned so much on our recent trips with her. Lot’s of “do’s” and lots of “don’ts” … that’s for sure! Anywho, I’ll wrap this post up so we can head out the door & soak up our last day in Amarillo. Be sure to check out my insta-stories for a look into what we’re up to today!

And as always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
