Why We’re Choosing Owlet

Light blue and white baby girl nursery and a review of Owlet Baby Monitors.

You guys, only 34 more days until our little girl is here. WOW!!!

We are still working hard putting the finishing touches on her nursery, but I wanted to go ahead and share a little (unfinished) corner of it with you all. There’s so much to think about and do to prep for a little one’s arrival. I’m in full-on nesting mode!

Once she is here, I want to be able to enjoy every single solitary second of our time with her. The last thing I want to do is sit & worry every time she sleeps, while she’s down the hall and in her crib. Thankfully there’s Owlet, a smart sock baby monitor that gives parents peace of mind while their little one is fast asleep.

Read more about why we’re choosing Owlet & an update on all things baby below!

Trust me, I’ve heard the horror stories. How I’ll never be able to sleep again, how I won’t have a second of time for myself for months & months. “Say goodbye to peaceful showers and relaxing moments to yourself,” they tell me! Sorry to disappoint, but I’m SO excited for all of this because the gift that comes with it more than makes up for any sleepless night or lack of “me time.”

However, there are things that are going to make life easier once baby girl is here. After hearing so many friends and other bloggers share their “must-have” baby products and almost all of them mentioning Owlet, I had to check it out for myself. After a ton of research, Patrick and I decided that this was definitely the baby monitor for us!

Owlet stands apart from the crowd because it uses the same technology that hospitals use to track breathing and baby’s heart-rate. The best part? It tracks all of this in your iphone! While sitting in bed, I’ll be able to check on baby girl’s vitals at the touch of a button, easing any sort of worry I might have at that moment.

The Owlet is designed to alert mom & dad if the baby stops breathing. Whether she’s in her crib, in her bassinet, in our bedroom or in her moses basket in the living room with me, the Owlet is portable and can monitor baby no matter where she is.

When the tiny little Owlet sock arrived in the mail I could not get over how small it was! I can’t believe a little baby girl’s foot will be filling this sock in such a short amount of time. Eeek! While I’m over here squealing about baby-to-be, be sure to check out Owlet for yourself! Whether you’re a new mom, mom-to-be or friend of a gal with a baby-on-board, Owlet makes a great shower gift or even holiday gift!

Stop by the blog tomorrow for my 34-week bumpdate. I have some bigger than usual baby news to share! (And no, it’s not her name! You’ll have to wait 34 more days for that one!)

PS: I’ve rounded up some of my current nursery faves from above!
