    A Guide to Galveston

    Galveston Texas Travel Guide

I’ve been working on my Galveston guide for what feels like months & months. Well, folks, it’s finally here, my Galveston Travel Guide!! While it’s more of a travel diary at first (got snap happy on a recent trip!), be sure to scroll on down below where I’m rounding up ALL of my favorite spots in this coastal getaway.

Texas fashion blogger shares her favorite things to do in Galveston, Texas.

Galveston is just about an hour south of Houston and once you’re there you feel like you’re much further away. It’s hard to believe that the swaying palm trees, chirping seagulls, and crashing waves are so close to home. While Galveston makes for the perfect day trip from Houston, it also makes for an amazing weekend getaway. With so many fun things to do and see, spending the night on Galveston Island is a whole lotta fun!

10 Street Style Trends Straight from NYFW

    NYFW 2017 Street Style Trends

New York Fashion Week was seriously like one big dream. Attending the runway shows, the rooftop parties and strutting our street style down the street with all of the other fashionistas, I’m already mentally planning my next trip! I have to say, my favorite part of the entire experience was seeing what everyone else was wearing. Not just the models!  Stylistas from all across the globe flocked to Skylight Clarkson Square in SOHO with an array of outfits you truly don’t see in everyday life. While many of the looks were ones that would be quite daring to replicate for happy hour with the girls, there were prevalent trends here & there that anyone could rock .. anywhere! Sharing details on ten of my favorites below!

Happy Tuesday! I took a bit of an unintentional blogging break this past week while in NYC. Turns out that when you have a jam packed NYFW schedule AND a baby to care for (even with the help of your fabulous mom) finding time to actually blog becomes non-existent. I seriously had the best time in New York and it was such a “bucket list” trip. There were times I just wanted to pinch myself while I was sitting front row at some of the shows! I’ll have so many posts up soon recapping the trip, sharing all of my thoughts and whatnot all on what it’s like to attend New York Fashion Week.

But until then, I’m keeping it casual with an easy laidback look that is perfect to transition from summer into fall. More on that below!

    rifle paper co texas flowers

There really are no words to describe what is going on in Houston right now. The news has a few: “catastrophic, unprecedented, & indescribable.” My thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the city, from the first responders to those in shelters, to those watching the water creep up their driveways. It seems that nobody is out of the clear just yet and it’s absolutely terrifying. Thank goodness there are so many ways that we can help those in Houston even though we are so far away. I’m sharing details on that, how we are holding up and why I think Houston will get through this stronger than ever! More below.
