My Favorite Look from NYFW & What I Did NOT Wear to the Runway

As most of you know, a little 8-month old cutie joined me in New York for NYFW. Obviously bringing a baby along to a hectic/crazy/busy week such as Fashion Week comes with its challenges. While I was all dolled up in heels, makeup & a fancy dress for many meetings, shows & parties, most of the time as soon as the camera was off or the last model waltzed the runway, my outfit changed quite drastically! Today I’m chatting all about how I transformed my looks in order to navigate the streets of NYC with a baby. I’m also sharing a bit about what the last few days of NYFW looked like too!

Anthropologie rosie embroidered tulle skirt in orange and grey

I absolutely love it when other bloggers share their “fitting room try on sessions” at various shops around Houston so I thought today I’d give it a go too! You all know I have quite the love affair with Anthropologie and their fall stuff right now is seriously stunning. From fall florals, soft & cuddly sweaters to the prettiest plaid tunics … don’t even think about entering the store if you’re “not going to shop.” It’s that dangerous! Today I’m reviewing a few things I tried on, sharing the fit, my thoughts and letting you know what I came home with. Head on down below for more!

I’m a firm believer in making lists. Whether big, small or just daily to-do lists, these plans of action keep me on track and keep my goals in check. For example, I just went over my 2017 bucket list and I’ve already checked the majority of it off. It certainly was a good feeling going back and seeing that almost all was accomplished … and it’s only just October! Today I’m making a fall bucket list not only for myself but also in the hopes that it inspires you to get out & about and take advantage of all that fall has to offer.

I’m also sharing details on a REALLY exciting trip that I’m taking in just two days! Here’s to hoping my next destination comes with chilly fall weather too. Hop on down below to see where!

Sunday’s Six: Fall Style, Food & Motherhood

Anthropologie Darphin Blogger Brunch in Houston, Texas

I used to write my Sunday Six series to chit chat about everything that was going on in life behind the blog. They were honestly some of my favorite posts to write because I felt like I could share whatever I wanted … whenever I wanted. (I mean, not that I don’t do that already to some extent!) Anyway, today I’m doing a Sunday’s “Five.”. Basically the same premise, just one less topic. I’m chatting about five things that have nothing to do with one another but are interesting enough, nonetheless.

From an event that YOU are invited to, to a cute coffee shop, fabulous fall shoe finds & an update on Annie at 8 months, today’s post has a whooolllleee lot going on!

    ONE

First things first. I’m hosting an event with Anthropologie NEXT weekend! And you all are invited. (I mean as long as you live in or near Houston and can come join me!) We will be having a little brunch to celebrate the launch of Anthropologie’s latest skincare collection Darphin. It’s a line of luxurious creams, serums & scents straight from France. It smells & feels divine & the packaging is just plain chic! Please join me for sips, sweets & a morning of fashionable fun at Anthropologie’s Highland Village location next weekend! (You can RSVP to lonestarlookingglass@gmail.com if you’d like to confirm your spot!)
