As soon as I drop the children off on that first day of school – regardless whether the weather is still 100+ degrees out – my mind instantly shifts to fall … and the fashion trends that come with it. Last week, the BURU Bus made its way to Memphis to help get our wardrobes ready for the season ahead.
It was a treat to co-host the pop up with Lucy (Lavishly_Lulu) and Elizabeth from Collected by Elizabeth Malmo. (Local friends – you must visit her beautiful interior shop on Broad!) And even with the last minute location change – thanks to an early arrival of our fellow co-hostess Dorothy’s little one – the pop up was a success!
Typically, hosts get a little discount for putting together and promoting these types of pops-up. But that perk is far from my favorite thing about sharing them with you all. Spending a whole day talking STYLE with friends, family and new people in my community truly fills my cup. Events like this seemed to be a weekly occurrence when I lived in Houston. Oh, the nostalgia. Needless to say, having a taste of that type of fashionable fun again was a blast.
And I mean … how can you not love everything the BURU Bus brings along with them too!?

We made it a sport – playing dress up that day. I couldn’t resist this green Oxford set (it comes in blue too) and the silhouette of this red floral day gown is fall perfection. Can you imagine it styled with cowboy boots?!
It’s been almost a week, and I’m still on cloud 9 from the fun we had. Thank you again to all the friends, family and new friends / followers who came by, shopped and say hello. We’re hoping we can host another later this fall as we step into holiday. I’ll keep you all in the loop, if so!
