It’s no secret that I absolutely love to travel. Before I started this blog I had the opportunity to study abroad for a semester in Wales. I spent several summers abroad as an exchange student in France, & even backpacked Greece for a month with my little bro. My husband Patrick and I also spent a few weeks honeymooning all over Italy. Y’all, the travel bug has bitten me hard!!
Now that I’m out of college, three years into marriage and as what some would say – “adult,” my extreme travel adventures have been a bit limited. Instead of focusing on traveling the entire world right now, my lovely husband and I are focusing on exploring unique places that are right outside our door.
After all, some would find Texas just as fascinating as some would find France right? It’s the whole “grass is always greener” thing. 🙂
I’m using this little space of my blog to share our adventures exploring Texas, as well as other places we may venture too near & far. From hotel guides, where to eat & what to do – it’s all here.
Hope that our adventures inspire you to have some of your own!
(Where to stay, what to do, where to eat & tips on biking the golden gate bridge)
(where to stay, which art galleries to visit & where to eat)
(best place to camp in the park & our favorite hikes)
(canoeing the Rio Grande & visiting the ghost town of Terlingua)
(on scenic highway 30A)
(two hours from Houston!)
(short plane ride, right?)
(aka a resort that makes you feel like you are LIVING in Mad Men)
b/c everyone has to visit HP World at least once …. & try the butterbeer!
(specifically mexican food & shopping on south congress)
(where to camp, what to pack & a great recipe for breakfast burritos)
(or as some would say, NOLA)
separated into 3 posts. (3rd week as a blogger over here:
one,
two, &
three)
(we used to live here, so this “travel guide” could be much better. But we are sharing our favorite BBQ spot & sports bar!)
Much much more to come!
Feel free to shot me an e-mail at lonestarlookingglass@gmail.com if you plan on visiting any of the above places & want to chat. I could go on all day about our recent trip to Big Bend, just saying! 🙂
