Why Investing in High Quality Pieces is Worth It

Throughout my blogging career, I’ve had the pleasure of stumbling upon & being introduced to clothing and designer brands I might not have ever heard of before. I’ve also been given the opportunity to test out some amaaaazing pieces of clothing that I may not have tried on in a fitting room otherwise. When I’m shopping in a store, I typically gravitate towards the same types of colors or silhouettes that I know always work for me. And if I’m in a big department store, I often don’t even leave the corner that I’m used to visiting.

Shopping online can sometimes come with risks (will it fit, look good & etc,) but I much prefer it! And when those risks pay off big time and you discover the MOST comfortable (yet also stylish) shirt & jacket imaginable? You do a cartwheel! Kidding, you can just cheer. 😉 I only recently discovered the brand Misook & today I’m styling their chic knit plaid jacket & striped blouse. I’m also chatting how this brand might have changed the way I shop going forward.

Misook is a luxury knitwear brand based out of New York. Designer, Misook Dolittle created the line around pieces that have a “silky knit” feel that are also machine washable. Not only are the silhouettes of every piece oh-so-flattering but they are comfortable too. And the fact that they can be thrown in the wash and still maintain their shape is a win in my book! I can’t tell you how many pieces of clothing I’ve fallen in love with that just didn’t look or feel the same after one wash.

I love that this striped blouse is an easy throw on & go piece. It has a sophisticated style that is just begging to be paired with heels or bootie and a chic necklace. It’s a great top to mix up with jeans and feel completely pulled together at a moment’s notice. The plaid jacket I paired it with, also from Misook, is made of the coziest knit. It also has a detachable scarf which can take your look from day to play.

While working at Cheeky Vintage last year, I was introduced to many luxury knitwear brands and would see customers come in solely looking for our vintage knit pieces. I feel like I didn’t know the draw until now that I’ve tried it myself! Nothing beats a comfortable, well fitted & stylish piece of clothing that you know will always look (& feel) good too! Today, I’m teaming up with Misook to give you guys a special discount to shop their site. You can use the code MSK1391  for 25% off your order. While Misook’s price points are a bit higher than what I typically stick to, I’m telling y’all that the feel & the versatility of these pieces makes it oh-so-worth it!

On another note, Annie and I are still in Tennessee! Patrick had to go back to HTX because he (quite sadly) ran out of vacation days. (I wonder why lol!?) So Annie and I skipped on down to my hometown to see my side of the family for a few days. We’ve been hanging with my parents and brothers, and exploring our favorite spots Memphis. Today I’m meeting up with a few of my high school & college friends to catch up with them and meet their new babies too! Being surrounded by so many good friends & family is good for the soul indeed. 🙂

And as always, thank you guys for stopping by the blog. And thanks to Misook for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own & thanks to you guys for supporting the brands that make Lone Star Looking Glass possible.
