I usually don’t venture out on Black Friday, for fear of the massive fights over Barbie dolls and what not. But this year I went with my mother & sister-in-laws and not only had a great time, but also managed to find a few good deals!
The rest of those good deals just happen to be Christmas presents, so I won’t be mentioning those just yet. 😉

The weather was actually a tad on the cooler side during our stay, hence the new sweater. This newly Texan figured there was no possible way that Florida could be any colder than Houston.
I guess I didn’t take into account the sea breeze, because it sure was chilly during our morning walks!
Chilly weather or not, I was determined to dip my toes into the ocean, if only for just a moment or two.

I’ll definitely be sharing more bits and bobs from our Thanksgiving vacation later this week!
Whether you travelled near or far, I hope you all had a wonderful time with family and friends on this special holiday. 🙂
Now that we’re back to Houston, I’m itching to pull out our Christmas decorations and get to work on sprucing up this house. Only 23 more days until Christmas!
Have you already decorated your home for the holidays this year?

Love the photos! The beach is even beautiful in cooler weather.

Oh how I miss sunny Florida, especially during the winters! I went to grad school in Winter Park, FL!

So glad you got to visit my home state!

Looks like you had a fun time in Florida!! We also had a family wedding over Thanksgiving… although we traveled to Mexico for ours! There really is nothing better than getting to spend the holidays with family especially when there is also a wedding involved! It has however put me behind in decorating for Christmas… hopefully I can get a bunch done this weekend because I am itching for our apt to look like Christmas again!!
