Last week I attended the Tidbits “It Girls” of Instagram party at Neiman Marcus.
What makes an “It Girl” of Instagram you may ask? According to Tidbits, “They’re the faces you see when you wake up for the day and you’re still gazing into their eyes when you doze off at night. But you’ve never actually met them.”
They’re fashionable, creative and inspiring women who just happen to share great photographs multiple times a day, and on a daily basis.
The honored “It Girls” of the evening were bloggers and savvy creatives such as House of Harper, We Wear Things, Sugar and Cloth, Imma Eat That and Willow Crowns.
{Also, I’ve gotta hand it to the talented RongRong (above center) she free handed these gorgeous sketches of the Houston “It Girls” throughout the evening.}
To celebrate the honorees, Tidbits put together a cocktail party and fashion show, with all of the stylish looks on display hand picked by Houston’s It Girls. At the end of the event “the” It Girl of the season would be announced.
I met up with a few of my lovely blogger gal pals. How fun is it that there are events like this pretty much every week in Houston lately? I can not get over it!
I’m definitely getting used to living in such a big city!
To kick off the fashion show, Issa from We Wear Things introduced herself, described her personal style and shared her picks for the fashion show.
These last two Alice + Olivia looks were picked by Ashley from Sugar and Cloth. Sugar and Cloth is a DIY blog sharing inspiring ideas (mostly featuring bright bold pops of color.) These two runway looks were definitely right in line with Ashley’s colorful blog design.
After an evening filled with a whole lot of fashion inspiration and insight into the lives of the fabulous and creative It Girls, I went home … and naturally stalked all of their Instagram accounts. (I have no shame!)
Do you guys remember when we all thought that Instagram was just an editing app for Facebook? My first few photos were hysterical! It’s amazing to see how far this new social media tool has come in such a few short years. Kind of excited to see what’s next!
