Stripes for Summer

Only one more week until 4th of July weekend and I have found the perfect dress to wear when celebrating America’s birthday. Throw on a pair of red earrings and add a cocktail & sparkler in each hand, I can’t think of anything better! Paired with the right shoes, this fun blue & white striped summer sundress goes from the pool to a cookout (or garden party) in a pinch. Which is why I’m thinking it’s definitely going to be on heavy rotation for the next couple of months.

It feels just about as hot as the surface of the sun here in Houston lately. Hot weather aside, one of my favorite thing about summer is that it’s so easy to just throw on a sundress and go. Much cooler than wearing jeans or shorts too! I may seem overdressed a time or two, but I’d so much rather be wearing my fun summery clothes for everyday activities than having them sitting all alone in my closet. 😉
