Just a little over a week ago I had the exciting opportunity to host a sip & shop party at Trina Turk in The Galleria!
Today I’m sharing a peek into the party, and two different ways that I styled Trina Turk’s adorable “Aniya Dress.”
Fresh off of a recent trip to Palm Springs, I was thrilled at the opportunity to host this event. Trina Turk is a Cali girl with a colorful aesthetic inspired by Palm Springs. Her flagship store is in downtown Palm Springs too!
I was able to visit it during my recent trip and I could have spent hours & hours swooning over every single little thing. There is even a wing of the shop dedicated just to home decor! (If only my suitcase was a bit larger … then you better believe some damage would have been done!)
Lucky for us Houstonians, we have not one but two Trina Turk boutiques to get our contemporary “resort style” shopping fix.
Last Wednesday night, a few friends and fellow bloggers stopped by to chit chat, sip champagne and browse racks upon racks of colorful clothing goodness.
I pulled the pieces included on the rack above, highlighting my favorites from Trina Turk’s Spring & Summer collections.
The white skirt above is trimmed with fringed raffia. It’s absolutely stunning, and the texture is unlike any other I’ve ever seen on a piece of clothing before.
Melanie & I (She’s starting a blog one of these days, y’all!)
That evening, 20% of the proceeds went to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in my hometown of Memphis, Tennessee! Not only was I thrilled to be able to partner with Trina Turk AND St. Jude, but I felt like I was also partnering with my college sorority Tri Delta.
Funnily enough, Trina Turk’s shopping bags are gold & blue! 🙂 Fitting for the evening, don’t you think!?
Thank you to all of the sweet gals who came out to support St. Jude, Trina Turk & little ol’ me! I had such a blast!
Now onto this pretty pretty printed dress of mine.
For the event, I paired it with black strappy wedges and minimal jewelry.
I thought I would dress this a-line number up for the blog with UGG wedges, and believe it or not a UGG hat & a matching black clutch.
How cool is it that UGG makes wedges and sun hats?! I wouldn’t have guessed either, but I’m obsessed. I could probably run a mile or two in these ribbon tied wedges, they are that comfortable.
There’s something about a bold printed sundress that just screams, “Hello, Spring!” I have a feeling that this one is going to be a spring staple in my closet for years to come! The cut is timeless and florals never seem to go out of style. (Thank goodness!)
Do you have a few favorite sundresses that you pull out year-after-year too?
As always, thanks for stopping by the blog! Stay tuned tomorrow, I’ll be sharing the last bit of my recent trip to Cozumel!
