Happy Sunday! Today’s Sunday Six is a mixture of a Blogger Brunch, the making of a denim vest, my new favorite weekend drink & skincare products I’m currently crushing on.
ONE
Yesterday, Houston’s members of The Blog Societies got together for brunch & socializing at The Union Kitchen! We chatted about blog life, life in general and all things fashion, naturally.
Love this picture of me, Elly & Nicole above! All three of us were somewhat matching in shades of red, white & blue!

On Tuesday, I received my first. ever. facial. Long overdue, I know. But the experience was oh-so-glorious I can’t even begin to describe it! Milk & Honey Spa just opened up in Upper Kirby and they teamed up with Cosmedix, a plant-based skincare line, to treat a few Houston gals to a relaxing facial. Afterward, we were able to test out a few of our favorite items from Cosmedix and now … I’m hooked on at-home facials!
My favorite thing from the line has to be the Mystic Moisturizer. Three words: Spray On Moisturizer. Especially amazing while traveling, I tried it on a recent trip and it was crazy-refreshing after a long morning flight.

This little recap is long overdue! About a month ago I had the opportunity to head up to Austin for SXSW for work. One of my favorite parts of the 24-hour trip was stopping by the Madewell Pop Up Shop at Hotel San Jose on South Congress.
Embroiderers from Ft. Lonesome were on standby to hand embroidery denim jackets, vest, shirts and even dresses purchased from Madewell’s Pop Up Shop.
I couldn’t resist a denim vest! The embroidered state of Texas is fitting, don’t you think? And on the front left side, just above the pocket, it says “Alice” in red. This is one of those things that’s going to be living in my closet until I’m 100 years old!
PS: My black Daniel Wellington watch is 15% off with the code SPRINGLG until 6/15 at danielwellington.com! Makes a great Mother’s or Father’s Day present!
Also, necklace is new from francesca’s. 🙂

Blooms from a walk around the neighborhood. Houston, you sure are lovely in springtime!

Recently tried Palm Breeze’s Pineapple Mandarin Orange drink, and it’s gooood yall! We went over to a friend’s cookout on Friday night and I brought a box of these over for the girls. The above photo was a wee bit staged for Insta (ha are you surprised? *wink* I mean I was actually eating the chips and salsa…..) but this tasty drink tastes just as great with BBQ in a backyard than it does in any tropical setting!

I don’t talk about work too often on my blog, I like to keep that life separate, as it should be. But every once in a while my work life crosses paths with my blog life and it is truly amazing! Last week I got to help decorate some darling gift bags for The Blog Societies’ event that I attended on Saturday. It was so fun to be a part of the entire process, from seeing the reaction on the attendees faces when opening their (rosemary & twine decorated) gift bags.
This week was definitely a rough one! I suppose it would be for anyone when adjusting to life post vacation. But I will admit, it feels so good to be back in the swing of things! And to relax! I legit took a two-hour nap this afternoon for no reason … hadn’t done something like that in years! Hope you all had a relaxing weekend too!
On another note, just a few more hours until Game of Thrones. And come one, they HAVE to let John Snow live!
As always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
