“Florals for spring. Groundbreaking.”
Definitely one of my favorite quotes from the movie The Devil Wears Prada. (BRB, going to go re-watch it like right now.)
This “groundbreaking” trend just so happens to be one of my favorites! So today I’m talking allll about this red Paper Crown floral maxi dress.
Paper Crown, Lauren Conrad’s beautiful clothing line, has been one of my favorites for quite a while now. Their Poppy Sundress from last spring made me go weak in the knees! I didn’t think that floral print could be topped, but low & behold this Maurgerite Maxi Dress may have done just that.
Of course, from the front, this dress is absolutely stuuuuning. But the real party is in the back. (Isn’t it always?)
The low back and delicate tassel tie set this floral maxi apart from the crowd. Making it an absolutely perfect dress to wear as a guest to a wedding this summer! Or just out to a fancy dinner date on a weeknight.
Who says we have to save these types of dresses for “special” occasions?
My favorite thing about dresses like these are the fun accessories you get to pair them with.
It’s not every day you can make an excuse to carry around a small envelope clutch. (Because where on earth would your notepad, headphones, pens & 10+ lipsticks fit!?!?)
But evening events which call for gorgeous floral maxi dresses usually don’t call for that many “accessories” in your purse.
Which is why I am loving the Darie Envelope Clutch from Herni Bendel. In case you haven’t notice, I’m a huge fan of Henri Bendel’s purses, they are all so well made and come in such classic silhouettes that they are the types of bags that you’re going to want to pass down one day.
Plus, I can’t resist anything in any shade of blue. 😉
Do you have any spring events coming up that you’re planning on getting all dressed up for?
We are headed out of town to Kentucky for a wedding in just two weeks! I’m so excited to see friends that we haven’t seen in almost two years! Where the time has gone, I’ll never know!
As always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
