One of mine and Patrick’s favorite things to do lately is to go on walks around our neighborhood as soon as we get home from work. Comfortable shoes are a must when exploring, so I switch out my heels for breathable & comfortable flats.
Today I’m talking all about how these memory foam flip flops from Dansko make for the most PERFECT of walking shoes imaginable.
But the best part about these summer sandals are hidden. The footbed is made up of low-profile contoured cork and memory foam. (You guys, memory foam! So it’s like a literal bed for your feet!) Dankso’s Pamela Sandals are available at Dillard’s and embellished at with adorable dark stones. I love that the color goes with just about anything in my closet!
The cork and memory foam is built in a way to provide support and even reduce fatigue. So like, walking in these pretties can kinda sorta replace your cup of coffee. 😉 Not really, but I’ll take any little pick me up I can after a long day in the office!
I’ve been shopping for shoes at Dillard’s as long as I can remember. Growing up in Memphis, Tennessee we had a couple of Dillards in the area and it was mine and my mom’s go-to! We not only shopped solely for shoes (get it) but dresses too! Who else bought their prom dress from Dillard’s?
Oh speaking of prom dresses … I could totally go on a tangent about mine right now, but I’ll save you.
As beautiful as a prom dress might be, it somehow becomes a symbol of the decade when you survived high school. My mid 00’s dress would totally not be anywhere close to “on trend” today, but it’s still beautiful in my eyes, and brings back so many memories, from trying it on in the Dillard’s dressing room to spinning around on the dance floor!
Okay, enough about prom dresses. 😉
We’re knee deep in spring so I’ve naturally been rocking white denim as much as possible! (Isn’t the ruffled hem fun on this pair!?)
One of my favorite ways to style white jeans lately is with a dark blue linen top.
An orange printed scarf, perfect for Tennessee (or Texas) football games, is a simple way to accessorize a solid top.
A wicker crossbody and silver jewels, including these darling turquoise earrings, completed the look.
These pretty earrings are from and are made with beautiful turquoise stones found only in the Dominican Republic. I love how they have a bit of an antique vibe to them! Aren’t they so cute for summer?
Do you often like to go on walks after work around your neighborhood too?
Not only is it nice to get outside, but it also takes us away from distractions (like the TV/Netflix) and we have some of our best conversations!
Plus, it makes that glass of wine a little bit more worth it when you get back home. 😉
As always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
