Who else watched the Kentucky Derby yesterday? We got together with friends, sipped on some Mint Juleps all the while anticipated the two-minute long race.
My horse definitely didn’t win, but at least my derby outfit was cute! 😉

Earlier this week I found out that one of my reallllly good friends is going to be moving from Houston to Minnesota this summer! NO!!! To drown out our sorrows, a few of us got together for happy hour drinks & chips & dip at Canyon Creek. The food made us feel better about things, but only for a little bit!

On Friday, I talked here and there about my recent obsession with Tory Burch’s spring dresses. This printed shirt dress is another one that I can’t get enough of! I wore it to the office last week and several girls asked me if it was vintage. Doesn’t it look like something straight out of Mad Men?

Patrick and I try to meet for lunch at least once or twice a week during the work week. We feel pretty lucky that our offices are so close together! This Friday’s mid-day date was at Piada on Memorial. Yall, major props to their new Farmer’s Market Salad! So so good!

Who else celebrated Cinco de Mayo on Thursday!? I had big plans to go out, and a pretty dress to wear! But after a super long day in the office, I couldn’t get up off my couch to make those plans happen. But at least I got to eat Spicy Margarita Ice Pops and celebrate the holiday that way!? The recipe is linked on francesca’s blog. 😉

I don’t have any kids myself, but I think I might take my two pups on a walk later today to celebrate Mother’s Day, because I am their mother after all. 😉
