Last Saturday, Patrick and I celebrated our three-year anniversary a little bit early by spending a day at the Hotel Sorella rooftop pool. We might have only been 15 minutes from home, but we felt like we were on our own mini-vacation miles & miles away!
Our pool day finally gave me the opportunity to pull out the cutest fringe cover up that can be, from The Bagtique!
The two of us (Patrick not pictured lol) spent the day lounging about, catching up on our current novels. I somehow still have not finished the Finding Fraser book I mentioned on here a week or so ago. Where has the time gone!?
This fringe caftan cover-up of mine is from The Bagtique  and is only $25! The Bagtique is my go-to for designer bags at a fraction of the price, but they also have super fun accessories other than just purses!
Like these dark blue aviator shades for example. Does anybody else just feel so much more … what’s the word .. something along the lines of hip or cooler (without sounding so cheesy) when wearing aviators?! I don’t know what it is about them! But it’s like by donning a pair of these shades I’m suddenly transformed into “cool girl” Alice. Lol that sounds SO ridiculous but I’m sure you can ALL relate! đŸ˜‰
Naturally The Bagtique has a killer selection of bags, and this Michael Stars blue & white striped straw tote is no exception! Lover of all things blue & white (& stripes too) this tote is one of my favorite things in my closet!
Plus it’s roomy enough for all of my pool day necessities.

PS: Who else has seen Me Before You? As if I didn’t already have a girl crush on the Mother of Dragons, after seeing that movie I feel like Emilia Clarke & I would totally be BFFs.

Thanks to my sweet husband for snapping these photos for me! We spent the majority of the morning on the purple chairs above, but when a couple left one of their snazzy cabanas, you better believe we grabbed it and made ourselves at home straight away! While under the cabanas, we sipped on Texas Mules & munched on margarita pizza. Pausing every so often for a dip in the pool!
Definitely my kind of way to celebrate an anniversary! Have you ever thought about doing a stay-cation in your own town? I think I’m now addicted to this phenomenon! It’s time to travel Houston! đŸ˜‰ Plus, it’ll give me more opportunities to pull out my beach favorites. #win!
