Sunday’s Six

wedding guest style, what to wear to a wedding, wedding date fashions, green hunter bell dress, elaine turner cork heels

It’s been a little while since I’ve done a Sunday’s Six post! Partly due to the fact that we’ve been out of town pretty much every Sunday this past month.

ONE

Like in the photo above. Patrick and I were in none other than Paducah, Kentucky. Which is actually the quaintest little town and boasts the title of being the “quilt capital of the world.” Pretty cool, huh? We were up there for our college friends’ wedding and had such a wonderful time!

Fashion blogger that I am, you know I have to link the outfit details. These cork heels were a recent splurge from Elaine Turner but oh-so-worth it. The insoles are made out of (wait for it) memory foam! Which thankfully kept my feet comfy for dancing all night long.

TWO

My mom came in town this weekend! We spent the weekend in Houston shopping (of course) going out to all of our favorite spots to eat, and binge watching Gilmore Girls. So far we’ve watched 10 episodes of season 1. I’m hoping we can get through the entire season before she leaves!

The photo above is from an event we went to on Friday with FashionXHouston and Cadillac. There was a confetti photo booth, and it was glorious.

There were also fabulous dresses & models galore. Needless to say, the two of us had quite a grand time.

THREE

Here’s a tip if you live in Houston, be sure to take your out of town guests to Tout Suite! Not only is the food divine, but so is the atmosphere.  My mom and I spent a leisurely Friday morning sipping on lattes and catching up on life over the tastiest of treats.

FOUR

Tuesday was National Macaron Day! Did you celebrate? We celebrated at francesca’s with a DIY Hand Painted Macaron blog post. Which I had way too much fun participating in, because …  hello free macarons!

FIVE

Another exciting event from this week was mine and Patrick’s three-year anniversary! We celebrated last weekend with a pool day at Hotel Sorella and celebrated again on Wednesday with a fancy night out. I still can’t believe it’s already been 3 years!! Time sure does fly!

lone star looking glass, houston blogger events, elaine turner southern charm bar

SIX

This is from a little while ago, but I haven’t had the opportunity to mention anything about it on the blog! A few weeks back I hosted a Southern Charm Bar event with Elaine Turner at the boutique in CityCentre.  Guests were treated to southern sips and snacks. (Aka Texas Mules, lemonade & some good ol’ fried chicken!)

I designed my own Southern Charm necklace from the charm bar, and had an absolute ball in the process. Of course, I had to choose the Texas pendant! … And the evil eye to ward off all of those “evil spirits.”

Hope you all are enjoying the rest of your weekend! We’re stoked for tonight’s episode of Game of Thrones! Isn’t Sunday night the best possible time for your favorite TV show to air? It’s like it gives you something to look forward to at the very very end of the weekend.

Here’s to a great start to everyone’s week! As always, thanks for stopping by the blog.
