You know when you find that one outfit that fits you so well, is so comfortable and cute all at the same time, that you just wear it over & over (hoping nobody but your husband notices!?) Well, this outfit of mine is just that.
Today I’m talking all about what makes a comfortable (and cute) weekend outfit that can take you from breakfast at the farmer’s market all the way to dinner al fresco at your favorite neighborhood spot.
First things first: these shorts are ahhmazing.
I snagged these Levi’s denim shorts at their flagship store when we were in San Francisco. Best $50 I’ve ever spent on a pair of shorts, that’s for sure! They are just long enough to not feel scandalous, and they’re thankfully loose enough at the waist to be able to wear with a growing baby bump! (Or after 4 Torchy’s tacos, which was a weekly occurrence prior to the baby bump!)
I dressed up my denim with an embroidered top from Shop the Mint. (My embroidery obsession knows no boundaries.) I love that this flowy top is lightweight for summer and also hides a growing belly. Not that I’m wanting to hide it. 😉
I mentioned earlier that this look can take you from breakfast to dinner all in one day. It’s all thanks to these sandals and this trusty fringe backpack from True Religion! (Cute jeans AND purses you guys!)
Not that I usually carry around a big bag, but these days if I were to be out and about all day, I’ve gotta have room to tote my snacks! 😛
My latest addiction is to bananas. Baby Kerley is a big fan!
In case you’re curious about the baby bump, I wanted to let yall know that I typically post photos to my blog that have been shot about a week or two before posting. {Saves a bunch of time to shoot everything at once and in advance, especially with a full-time job!}
But the baby bump has officially made it’s debut! I noticed it over the weekend at the lake, but I was in a bathing suit the entire time so it was hard not to notice. But last night I put on a t-shirt with these shorts and I walked into the kitchen and Patrick was like “hello baby!” all wide-eyed! 😀 Stay tuned for some legit bump photos in a few weeks!
