Introducing my favorite dress of 2016! I recently wore this denim printed number on my trip to Dallas and had the opportunity to shoot it downtown with the city’s skyline in the background. Today I’m talking all about why I dress up for myself and the power that comes with an outfit that you love & feel confident wearing.
I mean, how fun is the white spotted leopard hidden amongst this print!?

I’m a firm believer in the statement, “If you look good, you feel good.” And no, I’m not talking about being all dolled up and pretty as a picture. Sometimes I feel like I look my best in leggings & a ponytail too! It’s all about how your overall look makes you feel throughout your day. A fresh blowout or a brand new party dress you’re loving can make you feel confident-as-can-be at a party where you hardly know a soul. Kind of the same way that a quick shower and a dash of make-up on the weekends can make you feel pulled together in a pinch.
I certainly have those days where I roll out of bed, pin my hair up and pull something random from my wardrobe for work. I notice that on those days, I’m not feeling my usual 100% confident self, mostly because I’m not loving what I’m wearing or what my hair is doing – who knows. And while this sounds like a very appearance focused feeling, trust me, it’s not! I’m just the type of person that feels better & more confident in general when I’m all put together!
And if I could wear this outfit every single day, I’m thinking I’d feel just great!! 😉
This pretty printed dress is a rent the runway number that I ordered special for my trip to Dallas. With its high price tag, it’s definitely a special occasion “only-wear-once” type of dress. And oh you guys, I fell in love with it! Ironically that same weekend in Dallas, I stumbled upon this super similar version for a third of the price tag. And since owning this just as pretty version, I’m not ashamed to say I’ve worn it at least five times since. Isn’t it fun when you find a piece of clothing that you love and works for any & every occasion?
Are there particular pieces of clothing that you wear over & over? Whether it be a power suit or a party dress, I feel like we all have those important pieces in our wardrobes that are our go-to’s for special days!
And as always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
