Embroidered Camouflage

Gone are the days of heels and anything that’s not insanely comfortable for this mom-to-be! I got this embroidered camo jacket as a Christmas present to myself and have been wearing it SO much these past few weeks. It’s an oversized military jacket – straight from the guys – which means it fits around my bump perrrrrrfectly.

Almost a year ago now, Planet Blue opened in Houston at River Oaks District. I’d describe Planet Blue as kind of a Free People-esque bohemian shop with unique statement-making pieces. Basically, I’m obsesssssed. And the girls who work there are too sweet! I’m not your typical camo wearer (for one, I’ve never been hunting …) but the embroidered details on this jacket caught my eye on the rack, and I couldn’t resist!

Paired with a slouchy knit tee, maternity skinnies, comfortable OTK boots and a messy updo – this outfit is soooo easy and looks pulled together at the same time.

In other news, I’m still waiting (im)patiently for baby’s arrival! Her due date isn’t until Jan 16th, so I’m sure I have some time. But the thought of her showing up a few days early is ALL I can think about!!! I really need to truly distract myself from the waiting, and then BOOM watch her show up. I’ve probably binged more Netflix and spent more time on the couch than I have in my entire life these past few weeks. I’m thinking it’s my body’s way of forcing myself to take a break and relax? I’m typically a “go-go-go-go” type of person, so this behavior is new to me! But the quality time with Patrick that has come with it has been such fun!! I think we’re really going to miss these days in a few weeks when life gets loud (crying) and crazy!
