Spring is in the air! Can you feel it!? Wildflowers are popping up all over our backyard and the constant rain is just a promise of even more gorgeous spring growth to come! Today I’m styling and sharing a look that is the epitome of spring style. In an off-the-shoulder top, floral handbag, and wedged sandals, I’m ready for April showers & May flowers.
Sharing outfit details below and a little life update. Chatting about why I’ve been away from the blog for a little bit longer than usual. Head on down for more spring outfit inspo!
Y’all, this white floral off-the-shoulder top is what dreams are made of! It’s only $45 and such great quality too. I found it at Nordstrom the other day and I’ve already worn it several times. It’s just so easy to throw on for almost any occasion: happy hour, a cook out with friends & more!
Plus, it looks too cute paired with the “it shoe” for spring. If you follow even just a handful of bloggers, you’ve seen these shoes everywhere I’m sure. They are actually a knock off of Chloe’s wedge sandals from last spring. Chloe’s version is $700, my version is $60. I think I like my version just a bit more, don’t you?!
Whenever I wear a more neutral outfit, like this one, I love to accessorize with a statement handbag or bright piece of jewelry. I love how this floral Henri Bendel satchel pops with my springtime look. The print is so much fun and has me yearning for a beach vacation each time I look at it!
But for now, I’ll happily tote it around Houston while I wait for the sunshine to come out!

In non-fashion related news, I’ve taken a few days off of blogging this week & last to head on up to Memphis to celebrate the life of the most wonderful grandma of all time! She was 98-years-old, but if you had asked her, she would have told you she was only 16! I feel truly blessed that I was able to have my grandma around for all the hugs & kisses for 28 long years.
While the death of a close loved one is always hard, I’m especially thankful to have Annie with me at this time. I always knew one day I would have to face the loss of my grandma, but I never dreamed I would be so lucky to live long enough to have a daughter during her passing. Getting the news while holding a baby in my arms showed the passing of time before me, and made the news just a tad lighter to bear.
Speaking of Annie, she was SO good this weekend. We packed the car and braced for the 9-hour drive ahead of us, half terrified of would it would be like with a newborn baby. Annie slept for the majority of the drive and was hardly fussy at all. She also slept through the night a few times during our trip and I still can’t get over it!! Of course, as soon as we got back home she was back to her old routine of waking up in the middle of the night for her second, third & fourth dinner. 😉 But when extra meals come with extra cuddles, I can’t complain!
This week I’m planning on sharing Annie’s newborn photos and a look back on her birth story. It’s taken me foreverrrr and a day to write it all down but I’m finally ready to share. So be on the lookout for that soon! And as always, thanks for stopping by the blog! Y’alls comments & love mean so much!
