I’m so excited to finally share Annie’s nursery with y’all today! I had so much fun putting this colorful little space together for our baby girl. Before Annie’s arrival, I would come in here & sit for hours, staring at all of the toys & books and imagining all of the fun adventures to be had. I can’t imagine anything different for Annie’s nursery and I’m so thankful I have an adorable little room that is all hers.
Our home is very eclectic with splashes of our personality all over the place. With light blue walls, ivory furniture, and peach accents, Annie’s nursery has a character of its own and fits right in! It’s the smaller details in the room that I love the most: the rocking horse we named “Tex,” the lace overlay on the teepee, the mini-gallery wall above the changing table and the peach canvas with Annie’s foot prints. The art hanging above her crib has extra-special meaning to it too. The origami dress is made from a vintage map of Rome, where Patrick and I honeymooned.
A built-in bookcase (that was once a window) was a unique accent that was fun (but also somewhat difficult) to figure out what to do with. I filled it with all of the books we received from sweet friends & family and framed the “bookcase window” with ruffled curtains. I like that I have the option to close the curtains to hide the clutter … but not that I want to, though!
This room was truly a labor of love. Patrick actually painted it not once, but twice! (Finding the right shade of light blue is harder than you would think!) While I was pregnant, I would sit on the glider and chat with Patrick while watching him put together everything. From building the crib & the dresser to hanging shelves and installing curtain rods, he brought the nursery to life for me and I’m so thankful to now be sharing this darling little space with our daughter. Head on down for more photos and details on the room!
